I?ve order Pupusas, Burritos and the enchilada on the picture. But the only edible food was the Pupusas. I believe the bad test... started with the server. Mean demeanor and arrogant. I know, I was not wearing my Prada or my Gucci when I walked in therestaurant, but that does not excuse her approach to us. You should treat everyone who comes in with dignity. My brotherordered the enchiladas, and tried to persuade him to get something else ( Too spicy). And the server reply ?They are alreadymaking it.? But we had not even finished placing the order, and it had only been about 5 minutes since we entered therestaurant. My brother is a mechanic, he had just come out of work and was hungry. She might?ve thought we were homeless. Butwe behaved very cordial and friendly to her. We paid in full plus tips. ( which she did not deserved) I will give this place a1/2 a start, if there was one. We had El Taco Guapo cater an event for the teachers at our school- and they couldn?t have been more wonderful. The food was... amazing and we got compliments on it all day, and there was very generous portions. I highly recommend going here for authenticand delicious food! Read more

Very good Central American food. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Massachusetts in my experience with a variety of... conventional Mexican offerings as well as offerings from Guatemala and the other smaller Central American countries. Only issueis good luck ordering here if you don't speak Spanish. I know enough Spanish to place a simple order, but I recommended thisplace to a friend who said he called and they just hung up on him when he spoke in English. I know its Lawrence but go to anyethnic restaurant in Lowell there will be at least one person there who speaks enough English to take an order. Read more
In the last 10 years or so there have been a lot of Mexican restaurants that have popped up in the city of Lawrence In my... experience this is by far the best. Diona is actually from Guatemala therefore it really is central American food includingtacos, papusas, gringas and delicious combination plates. The food is always extremely fresh the owner is always present, Thekeep their employees for long periods of time which keeps the food and consistently good. I highly recommend El Taco Guapo Read more
Ordered a vegetable quesadilla, was saggy uncooked, the cheese was not even melted. I could had made this at home for half the... price and not have to deal with your poorly trained employee. Taste is good. Meat a little overcooked I suppose. Decent quantity too.
