Staff is competent and incredibly thoughtful. I asked the person who brought my food to me if it would be too much trouble to... bring me a knife and fork to eat my food with, not only did he bring cutlery, he also brought me several napkins for my messyburger. The cashier (Carla) was so sweet and accommodating for my strange dietary restrictions and helped me get the best meal!She then came after we were done eating and offered to take care of our trays. This is our go to place for when we don't want to cook and need something the kids will eat. Service is typically pretty fast... for dine in, plus the kids get their grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and a free scoop of custard when it's all said anddone. (Full disclosure, I'm writing this review on "Fast Sunday" so, the memories from my last visit are particularly poignant) The... young kids they employ in Layton & Centerville are very nice, but consistently struggle to get my order correct. However, I keepgoing because the Butter Burgers are amazing! Especially if you like salt, onions, & pickles. The shakes/custards are greattoo. I don't mind the iffy service, it's nearly impossible to find experienced fast food workers these days, and kids needsomeplace to start. Read more
I want to start off by saying the employees here are so nice! My fiancé and I had never been here before, so we weren?t quick... to order and we had a lot of questions. The guy at the register was extremely helpful and very patient. Not once did he make usfeel rushed or dumb for not understanding the menu. We finally decided to order two cheese ButterBurgers with everything onthem (one was a double), crinkle cut fries, Wisconsin cheese curds, and two Turtle Dove Concretes. We swapped out a drink for aconcrete, so the kind person at the register provided us with water cups. Before we were even able to finish filling our watercups, he brought out our concretes and set them on a nearby table for us. Not 60 seconds after we sat down, a sweet ladybrought us our food with a smile on her face. We couldn?t believe how fast (and kind) the service was! We gobbled upeverything. There wasn?t a spec left. The concrete was the creamiest custard I?ve ever had! I was a little worried about theburger because the patty was so thin, but it reminded me of a backyard barbecue with all the fixings. This chain restaurant with a hometown feel has a lot to offer someone seeking a hamburger and shake. They have a large menu and... serve a variety of slow fast food. Their frozen custard sets them apart from many other restaurants in its class. Also theirHamburgers have a wonderful crispy char that gives the patty a strong in your face flavor that so many burger restaurants lack.It might not be your favorite hamburger restaurant. But it's worth the visit. The amount of people that are packed in theirrestaurants on a normal basis proves they are doing something right. They also have a wonderful patio out front that hascushioned couches that would be great in the evening for groups. Let's hope they continue the quality and service as the yearsgo by! Read more
