This is the last time I come to the Layton Rumbis. This has been the 3rd time I have been waited on by the manager Eileen and... she is very rude. Buyer beware!!! They are charging everyone for sauce and not telling them? they did it to the couple in front of me and when... they did it to me I called them on it .75 cents a meal adds up over the course of the day. They are probably skimming the tillat the end of the night as two employees verbally admitted that this practice is mandatory by the manager and although they areaware that it is un-ethical and absolutely wrong they willingly participate in this behavior and deceit. They've given my daughter food poisoning a while ago and she puked all over my mothers vehicle. We had recorded phone calls... with them and they admitted fault. They told us to go ahead and pay for her vehicle to be cleaned, we did, provided the receipt and everything- for them to back out on paying it. Lucky for them we didn't go after them legally. We tried it again today andgot a 1 inch chicken bone in our teriyaki chicken bowl! Stay away with a 10 ft pole at least!!!! Read more
The prices are the same, but the portions are substantially smaller. At every other Rumbis I have visited, the bowl comes with... sauce on the chicken with an extra cup of sauce with the meal and if you need an extra they will gladly give you one free ofcharge. Here no sauce on chicken and they charge for any additional sauce cups. At the other locations, chips and salsa comeswith with two cups of salsa, here only one cup of salsa and less chips. I'm really becoming a big fan of this place. It is fast food, but it is good. The vibe is pretty chill, with a good mix of... island style music playing constantly. The real standout here is the daily special menu. You get a complete meal (includingdrink) for less than $10. The options mostly consist of rice and chicken/fish/pork, and you really can't go wrong. We went to Rumbi Island Grill as we found a Buy One, Get One Free coupon in the Hometown Values magazine. When I was getting... ready to pay, the girl looked at the coupon and said their system is down and could not process the coupon. She charged me fortwo entrées at regular price. I immediately got an alert from my credit card company, which leads me to believe that theirsystem wasn?t down. Hypothetically, if the software processing coupon was connected to a different system & it was offline, shestill could have honored the coupon by ringing me up for just one entrée. The food was good but if they are not willing honorthe coupons that they advertise in the Hometown Values magazine, their corporate office should come down and start askingquestions. Read more
