Very quaint little place with tons of charm. The Owner is super pleasant with loads of knowledge. There is a little bit of... everything from Kayaks, nick backs, scopes and binoculars for those nature lovers and much more. There are so many unique giftsas well. Read more
Visiting the store for their sunset paddle and dinner events and it was so worth the almost 3 hour drive. The hosts are so... lovely and the dinner was delicious! The paddle was about 2 hours led by Ethan who is just a delightful young man. He spent timewith each paddler, asking questions and chatting about all kinds of subjects. He even gave us a demonstration of rolling hiskayak. So fun! Once we returned from the paddle, Nathan and Cameron got us all out safely and dry lol. Dinner was ready! Beeftenderloin with twice baked potatoes and caesar salad with a water or Gatorade. Ive never had beef that tender! Sooo good. Wehad a fire while we ate and watch the final moments of the sunset. I dont think it gets better than a Lake Erie sunset on thewater. I highly recommend this sunset paddle event and the store is a must see as well for kayaking and birding. Read more
We love this place. This is a must see when in the area. Rent or buy paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and launch onto the lake.... Keep an eye for weekend events - paddle, dinner, sunset. It was amazing. Read more
We have had awesome service from the first time we visited this store to try out kayaks we were considering buying as upgrades... to our current recreational kayaks. Nathan was helpful and patient showing us the differences and giving us tips as we triedthem in Lake Erie. The order process was simple then 10 months later when they arrived Eric gave us fantastic service runningthrough the features as well as helping us choose new paddles. I am an out of town customer who'd been in the store only casually to peruse some products as part of a trip to beautiful... Leamington about a year ago. It turns out, in searching for some products in the last couple months, that they have great dealson some nice, high end products. Cameron was always eager to help, going so far as to reply to text inquiries on a Sunday, andwe've successfully made a nice purchase that will serve us for years to come. For any future binocular or other productrequirements, and despite some of the negative feedback below, I strongly urge you to consider this store. The sunset paddle followed by a steak dinner was fantastic. The operators proceed some on water instruction that helped my 12... year old improve his paddle skills. They Lake Erie was also very cooperative with us as we couldn't have handled significantwaves with our recreational kayaks. The dinner was awesome with filet mignon and twice baked potatoes. The Outfitters part ofthe business is also outstanding. We bought out kayaks with very little knowledge or experience. Out on the water during thepaddle they let us try their carbon and fibreglass paddles. This showed us how we can start improving our own kits. We will beback! Read more
I recently needed a new pair of Swarovski binoculars and I needed them quickly as we were off on a three week birding tour... within a few days. Eric Briggs was a great help in deciding how to get them to the Maritimes ASAP. True to his word, thebinoculars were immediately (and very well) packed and dropped off at FedEx.
