Service was great. Cocktail was good. Ribeye Steak was way too thin. I'd rather have a smaller looking, thicker steak that can... actually be cooked to med rare than a thin piece of meat. It was so nice to sit down and once again experience an amazing steak. Living in DC, trying to find a decent steak that you... don't have to borrow from the bank to purchase is hard to find. Here at Metropolitan Steakhouse you'll order a 10oz ribeye butit may be closer to 13oz or more since the steak is handcut by some angelic being in the kitchen. Thank you kind sir or ma'am!!The wait staff is down-to-earth and very hospitable. Another breath of fresh air from the seemingly entitled staff in DC (noteveryone, but most). My mother and I went before the lunch rush and was immediately greeted and seated. It has a very simple menu which is good. Not... too overwhelming. We ordered the special for the day which was a steak dinner with corn on the cob and a loaded baked potato. Itwasn?t too busy and we got our dinner probably 10-15 minutes and it was very delicious. Small little hidden gem. Came today celebrating my brother birthday. This was my first time visiting. My mother and brother... often told me how good the food was. Great customer service I must say. The person who sat us sung to him and gave a slice ofcake. Our server continuously checked on the table doing a great job. Sorry, I forgot her name. Food came out hot and fresh. Friendly service. Nice menu. Good food. Decent prices. A steakhouse should know how to cook steak though. Ordered medium rare,... got medium well ??. Otherwise food was pretty good. Nice filet with no waste. You have to try the cheesecake ???? Visit #2 Thistime it wasn?t any better than your average chain can do. I?m thinking the chains probably have better quality meats too.
