I was really surprised with this place. I was in the city for training and went here for dinner one night. Serving sizes were... large, food was good and authentic and the service was on point. The cost was relatively cheap. I went there on a date themargaritas were buy one get one (lucky me, but I think they do this every week night). I left the restaurant with only havingto pay $23 for my bill which included a 20% tip for the waitress. Read more

I was excited to find a Mexican Restaurant across from our hotel, but to my dismay? it was one of the worst Mexican Restaurant... we ever visited, worldwide. It tasted like the Mexican food in Germany. This Mexican Restaurant is far from authentic. The salsatasted like store bought, horchata tasted like some type of soap. Rice tasted like it was from a bag that just needs to reheatand my carne asada was very rough/chewy. It didn?t sizzle like it was supposed to and didn?t have all the fixings like bellpeppers and more. Sopapilla was incomplete, puffy and a little hard to chew on. Location is close to Fort Leavenworth. Parking (street parking) might be difficult during lunch our rush, unless they have... parking in back area that we didnt see. Friendly staff. Their chips and salsa is good. We enjoyed what we ordered. Food was notoverly greasy. Price is fair. And they do offer military discount. Read more

August 5 visit. This place was right across the street from our hotel so it was nice to not need to drive to dinner with our... four kids. We were immediately seated and drinks were out quickly. I ordered shrimp tacos and my husband ordered a shrimpchimichanga. The kids ordered typical kid food, lol. The sauce for my tacos could seriously be bottled and sold for millions ofdollars. I don?t know what?s in it but it?s amazing! Everyone loved their meals. I also had a blueberry margarita and my husbandtried the raspberry margarita. They were both good but we agreed the raspberry was best. I love the laid back atmosphere hereand the staff seems to enjoy working here. They also looked fully staffed which seems rare these days at restaurants strugglingto keep employees on hand. This place seemed anything but struggling. We had an extremely friendly server this visit to Tampico and our meals were delicious; however, we had very slow service! It... took about 25 minutes for us to even place our order. Understandably, the restaurant might have been short-staffed due to thecurrent "social-distancing" requirements for food service establishments, but it didn't seem that busy.
