We had a great experiance at Kingfisher. The serving and wait staff we so genuinly friendly and professional. The dinner choices... where small due to Covid but were perfect. My husband had the salmon, he was going to ask for more! He is the master of salmonso rarely orders it but but was that good. I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection. I prefer MR and it was tender ajuicy and full of flavor. They offered four desserts. We tried three. Honestly, we tried two and asked for seconds. If you arestaying at the Sleeping Lady choose the meal option(at least for a day) We looked forward to dinner after a lovely breakfast andwas not dissappointed. Read more

We had the set menu. Beautifully presented. Our server, Maria, was above and beyond. She was so intelligently accommodating... making us feel welcomed and valued. The bread was so good. The soup was great. I had to control myself not to eat it too much. The rockfish, steak, and vegetables were all fantastic. The desserts were amazing. Return on investment was definitely one ofthe highest. Read more

Pretty decent. Surprised that they had some vegan options, but they are pretty sparse sometimes. Service is good though. For the... price you pay, if your willing to eat yourself sick you will get your money's worth, but if not then maybe opt for a lessexpensive buffet or go to a normal restaurant. Read more

My friend recommended this place for breakfast and she said we had to have reservations. I was curious - what kind of a... breakfast place in the country side operates only on reservations. We had breakfast at the Kingfisher restaurant. The serversbring juice, coffee and drinks to your table. The rest of the breakfast menu is a buffet with a lot of options includingvegetarian, meat and fruit. Most of the dishes they had were sustainable locally grown stuff and you could make out they're notcutting corners on the ingredients. I felt like they're using the best ingredients on the market and eating there is a healthychoice. The cost is higher than you would pay at other breakfast places, but I think its worth it. The next time I'm taking atrip in and around Leavenworth, I plan to include Sleeping Lady Kingfisher in my itinerary. Read more

We heard so many good things about this place, not true. The best part was the salad bar, which was very small. The entrees were... sub-par. The fish was dry, the steak was bland, and the vegetarian option was nearly inedable. As for dessert who knew freshwhipped cream could taste so bad. I love coconut but couldn't even take a second bite of the mushy coconut pie. Absolutly notworth a dime we paid. Read more

We went for Thanksgiving 2016. We were lucky to get the last seating. The dining room reminded me of a lodge in Lake Tahoe. Yes,... the presentation was buffet, but the selection and turn-over was first rate. Our server and back waiters were attentive but notover-powering. We are looking forward to staying in the lodge this year and going again for Thanksgiving. I'm guessing thehaters are more Golden Corral than Kingfisher. Read more

Made reservations based off a menu that lead us to believe this was a high end restaurant. While I have no problem paying more... for higher end food, the Kingfisher was nothing more then a buffet style restaurant. Serving food that was "dying" under heatlamps and on steam tables. For $50 a person I expect far more then a high-end Old Country Buffet. Shame on them for not tellingpeople this is buffet upfront!! Read more

Reserved back in September for Christmas Dinner; spoke with Kimberley who said that it was a traditional Xmas dinner I informed... her that I had a vegetarian in our party, she said she will let the chef know. Xmas dinner was $49.00 per person (which I hadno problem paying for traditional xmas dinner). We were offered 2 seatings 4:45pm or 8:10pm. We selected the earlier. When wegot there it was empty and it was buffet style (I specifically asked if it was a served dinner and was told Yes!). Well for$49,00 we would have had a better meal at Olive Garden. The meal was horrible, in every sense. Not one bit traditional. Chicken was dry and tough, veggies sitting there all day desert just cookie, tart and choc cake. This was the worst meal we hadeaten, When I went to get my meal one of the servers made a comment in "another language" but it did not take a genius to figureout what he was saying. We later spoke with another couple in Leavenworth who said they went to Kingfisher in the summer and itwas a horrible experience. I would skip this place all together for food. Very disappointing, and I hated being lied to aboutwhat they were offering, especially an important meal like Christmas Dinner. Read more
