Joe?s Kansas City Bar-B-Que is a KC BBQ staple. It?s a must try for those from out of town, and highly cherished by those that... are Kansas City residents. I highly recommend the Rocket Pig, the Z-Man, the Onion Rings, Fries, and their potato salad. This isa top contender for the best Kansas City BBQ and the constant battle for best in KC makes Joe?s better each time you eat here.You can?t go wrong with anything on the menu here. Expect to wit in line for a bit, but I promise it moves quickly and is worththe wait, even when the line is out of the door. We ate our food so fast we didn't even have time to take pictures but just trust me on this...get the burnt ends! So so good!!... The sauces were really tasty but the meat by itself was where it was at. We also got sandwiches, ribs, mac and cheese, fries andchicken. Everything was excellent. Great customer service as well. First time in the KC area and had to try some BBQ! We got there around 5:30PM and the line was out the door. It moved fast... though and we ordered within 20 minutes. Plenty of tables available to sit. And the food was amazing! We split burnt ends andribs, plus fries and a cup of Mac and cheese. Perfect for two people! Plus drinks and desserts. Long line to get to the ordering counter when we arrived right at noon, but it moved very fast. Our food tasted amazing and... wasn't overpriced at all. I got the Z-Man and some spicy slaw. I really liked how the onion rings went with the rest of thesandwich. The spicy slaw has a little bit of zing but not overly spicy. Very flavorful and not spicy just to be spicy. Read more
Joe?s KC is hands down my favorite KC BBQ. I love them so much that I even had them cater my wedding! We usually go to the... Leawood location because it?s closer to our house, but the original location on Mission is a must if it?s your first time. Don?tbe discouraged if there is a line out the door at any location - it moves fast and is so worth it! The fries are amazing! Iusually get sliced brisket or burnt ends. If you are looking for a lighter portion, the kids meal comes with a sandwich, friesand a drink. The kids meal is my go-to lunch order. I got the same order as Harps BBQ and I'd say Joe's did it the best .. I was nervous about how many cars and people was in the... restaurant, but once in, I walked up and ordered and had plenty of places to sit with no waiting!! ???? My favorite part wasthey had my favorite sauce on the table (night of the living BBQ sauce) ???? I enjoyed the fact I get a refill of my favoritesoda cherry Pepsi and walk out with it. I also can say they actually have Mac & cheese and sweet tea! You would be surprisedthat some BBQ establishments don't offer that. The food: Was actually warm and had seasoning! Was good. Mac and white cheesewas great and seasoned. Fries was also seasoned and big portion. Cons: there was a guy at the cutting table walking in talkingin off work clothes, grabbed a water bottle and started drinking it at the cut tables then walked out.. ????
