Traveling from Ohio back to home in Illinois. Hadn't eaten since leaving Ohio. Was feeling a bit hungry so pulled in and not... knowing their hours were closing at 2:30 we were walking in when they were getting ready to shut down. Everyone was verypleasant! Cook agreed to stay and cook our food, Sherry waited on us and she was extremely polite and professional. Our foodwas top notch and we were allowed to eat at our own pace as they continued to do their closing. I want to say this was thefirst time eating here and I highly recommend it if you haven't. Food was perfect, reasonably priced and served fast and hot!We were even offered an ice tea to go which was great since we had exhausted the drinks we had in the car. Everything was veryclean and they all took great pride in their jobs. I will definitely be going back on my next passing through. I stop here once a year and nothing to write home about however, this time our waitress Sherry, a zealous happy spirit, is and... was amazing. She welcomed us with water in her hands after introducing herself, showing all her teeth, she verbalized that shewas not our server. Next thing you know she returned laughing and said guess I will be your server, AMEN...... An observant,bundle of joy. The food was as expected.... Read more

They always have great service and I've enjoyed many of their different menu items. The only things to avoid are the oatmeal and... grits. The oatmeal is sadly dull and soggy even with berries. Grits should never be attempted by anyone who hasn't lived in thesouth. I offer this warning so no one mistakenly judges their offerings based on those 2 foods. Everything else has been greatdiner food so far. I wish I could eat here every week. Read more
Today was our first visit but certainly not our last! Although it was a busy Sunday morning, we only waited a few minutes to be... seated and had a great meal. Our friendly waitress Sherry took great care of us! The portions were huge and we had plenty tobring home with us. Would highly recommend if you?re looking for a friendly breakfast & lunch spot! I was really impressed with this breakfast diner. I went here 4 days after having five teeth removed. I specifically chose... pancakes and eggs as soft items to eat and the food was amazing. despite the fact that I have regular pancakes they were fullof flavor and the maple syrup was a perfect touch. Staff is very kind and friendly, the food comes promptly but usually has at least one item that is overcooked. I will say that... they can move people in n out faster than anyone, so seeing a line of 10 people here isn't disqualifying here if I can addanother 10-15 minutes to my plans, cuz it's fairly priced compared to its market competitors.
