My husband loves On the Border, and they have great outdoor seating at this location, so we stopped for dinner. They didn't plan... to open the patio, but it was a beautiful evening and since we asked, they obliged. The service was excellent and the food wasas well. We tried some new appetizers and dinners and we had drinks, so we kept our server hopping, but she was right on top ofeverything! She was also bartending, so her hands were full, but she made us feel like we were the most important people in theplace. It was a great experience and we will be back. Read more

Holy guacamole Batman! That was a good lunch! Even though we were the first and only people there at 11:15am, we were greeted... and seated with a smile. Drinks, chips, and dip were right out and were perfect. I tried the lunch special. First time havingCHICKEN fajitas, and they were delicious! I did it for the health aspect, but will definitely have them again. Perfect food, perfect atmosphere. It did fill up fast right before we left. But it was nice having conversation before the food and the crowdshowed up! Read more

Disappointment. After waiting for 7 minutes without help and nobody at the bar to assist me, a customer recommend I call the... curbside pickup phone number. I went outside to my car and called without an answer twice. I went back inside and found a ladyfilling up an ice bucket to finally help me. The lady was nice and gave me my orders quickly. Now on to the food: What wasthat? The queso is watery and curdled, and the chicken looked poorly cooked and strangely seasoned. Let’s just say, I did noteat it and I won’t be back for a while. Please invest in a counter call bell so people in the kitchen nearby now someone iswaiting. Read more

We dined it on the border on recently. We live in Lee's Summit and have enjoyed dining at On The Border over the years. This... restaurant has continuously declined over the past year. Our server was friendly and accommodating but that's about the onlypositive thing I have to say. We ordered the queso dip, and there was so much stuff in it tomatoes, spinach, not sure whatelse, looked gross as you pulled the chip out of the cheese dip. We could only eat half of it. 30 minutes after placing ourorder, our food finally arrives. My enchilada dinner appeared that it had been sitting for a while by the look of it. It had adried out appearance, after the first bite I was correct, it was cold! Everybody else's food had the same appearance and wascold, there were four of us. We've all heard stories about what happens to your food when you send it back to the kitchen, sowe just held our breath and ate it and got out of there. It's very unlikely we will ever return. It's very sad to see thedecline of this local restaurant. On another occasion, upon entering the restaurant there were six or eight people waiting tobe seated. There were only four tables with customers seated. Those who were waiting to be seated, including us, we're told theycould not seat any more people due to the fact they only had one server. 80% of the tables were vacant. I had never seen orbeen told that before. I will have to thank Joe Biden and the current Democratic administration for causing this problem. Whenyou continue to hand out our hard-earned tax dollars to those who don't deserve it and don't want to go to work, this is whatyou get. When the government doesn't show up to work, I guess there are a lot of people that take the lead from them. If youwant more of this, vote Democrat! Read more

Came in 30 minutes before closing (I know shame on us) but with a game plan to be fast and efficient. The hostess was still... super inviting and nice even thought it was almost closing time. Same for our waitress Morgan, she was very nice and didn’tact annoyed what so ever. Great experience for our first time to the LS location. Read more

Easily the most disorganized sit-down restaurant in the Lee's Summit area from what I've seen as a long-term delivery driver.... Anytime a delivery has to be made from this location you basically have to look for a worker or you will be standing there foreternity, no lie. Today I stuck my head in the kitchen seeking assistance to pick up an order after being there for over twominutes and yelling for help three times, and when an employee finally appeared they were eating chips with their bare hands anddropping them on the floor. I said excuse me as she kicked the chip toward the trash can across the floor. Another workerappeared and physically got into my space extremely close and aggressively to make me back up saying she would get the order...I didn't understand why she was being so aggressive and informed her the order wasn't behind me. I then stepped aside inconfusion, and told her someone else could get it and canceled it. Please work on your delivery order professionalism. Read more

OTB always has great food. Their queso is creamy and rich, and their menu lends itself easily to those who minimize the... carbohydrate in their diets. But allow me to gush for a moment about the staff. Amazing service! My cousin and I have lunchonce a month at OTB since I moved back and we typically sit in the same section, hence the same waitress. The second time weate there, she brought my drink exactly the way I like it (water, no ice, 2 slices of lemon). I was blown away. Love thisrestaurant! Read more
