So glad we found this place! Everything we ordered was outstanding—grilled pabellon arepa, grilled chicken arepa, chicken... patacon, taqueños, and queso frito. The house sauce is amazing and tastes great on everything! We’ll be back soon to tryother menu items. The staff was fun and friendly and they provided great service. If you're looking for darn good Venezuelan arepas in the middle of a non-descript shopping plaza in Lehi, UT, then Zaperoco is... the place for you. This small shop was chock full of folks enjoying arepas, tequeno, and empanadas when were there. There are nomenus, so either check the website first or download it via a QR code. The folks running the shop are very friendly and arecovering all aspects of the place, so service may seem a little bit chaotic. The food is the star here for sure. The Pabellonarepa was excellent. The meat is flavorful and the plantains crispy. The black beans are delicious and do not overpower thearepa. It all comes together into something very delicious. You'll want to come back for more. Same can be said for the chickenempanada. The tequeno we had was fine. just a cheese stick when all is said and done. I can't wait to try the other arepas onthe menu. We were looking for Venezuelan food on Google and found Zaperoco. I'm so glad that we decided to try it out! Everything from the... service to the food was perfect! Our waitress knew everything about the foods and was very patient with us explaining all thedishes. We love empanadas so we decided to try all the flavors. The chicken was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The potatoes justmelts in your mouth and the beef was perfectly cooked. We then tried the plantain with Venezuelan cheese on top and my 8 yearold was obsessed and ate the whole thing. Lastly, we tried their traditional pabellon and we were also pleasantly surprised athow yummy it was! The rice and beans were cooked perfect and the meat was delicous. Wow we cannot wait to go back and try moreitems from the menu. The inside is really cute and they even have a stage so it would be fun to go there when there is a liveperformance. OMG/ADM. Stumbled on Zaperoco after a long day of running around and SO glad! Haven't had Venezuelan food this good in years.... ???? Definitely a top 5 restaurant for me overall, and made Utah a little less meh for me. Now when is karaoke, and moreimportantly is there any bailoteo?! Read more
The worst customer service ever, the lady taking my order made me feel like I was asking for free food, I didn’t see any... sense of urgency since the people working were in their cell phones or just chilling around. Also not very sanitary behaviorsamong the employees , not washing their hands in between tasks(the lady that took my order was touching her mouth and her buttand didn’t wash her hands to pack my food …. I gave them many chances but couldn’t see much improvement so definitelyI’m not coming back. Food taste was alright. Read more
