Super-helpful and knowledgeable staff. We four came in (not quite together), two of the group walking with canes. We hadn?t been... there before; didn?t know the menu or even what meal we wanted; but the patient staff made ideal suggestions. The food was justright for my traditional 79-year-old mother AND my adventurous foodie sister?how many places can you say that about? We werethere until closing time (NOTE: 2 pm) but they didn?t rush us out. Lemont Cafe?s staff took four tired hungry stragglers andturned us into a family having a nice meal in a warm charming atmosphere. Thank you. Read more

The best! Friendly staff, delicious coffee and cake! Has been my favorite coffee shop the last 10 years. And I really appreciate... they still wear masks. It really makes me feel they care about people like me who are high risk and my too little to bevaccinated children. Read more
Our favorite local spot for coffee and a light meal. Thoughtful food options, including vegetarian and some vegan. The quiche... never disappoints, but often sells out, so get it when you can! The French caramel apple cake and espresso brownie are otherfamily favorites. Half the fun is poking around the cozy little seating areas to pick your spot. The outdoor seating feelsintimate too, and it?s hard to choose between the fun of watching the traffic stop at the light from the front porch (everytoddler?s fantasy) or enjoying the sunny patio out back. I always take my mother here when she visits State College. It has wonderful owners and a delightfully cozy atmosphere inside... and out. If you're looking for whole bean coffee, I go for Grounds for Divorce. I was also pleasantly surprised by the safetyprecautions they took during COVID. I cannot recommend this place enough. Read more
Cafe Lamont is my absoluhe favorite cafe in State college and the surrounding area! I highly recommend the peppermint mocha (get... the whipped cream!). They use fresh milk and special toasted beans. Their bakery items are delicious as well. My favorite is thewhite chocolate cranberry scones. This is the ONLY cafe you can sit outside (and is the cutest one by far)! I recommend thisplace 1000%.
