I was really hyped about going to see this place. And very optimistic. Everything was going fine including drinks and... appetizers. Although I would give the salsa a three out of five. And then the food came. And then my experience was terriblefrom there on out. The food was gross. The waitress came to bring our bill and she was wearing black latex gloves. We went for my daughter's 15th birthday dinner. Just 2 adults and 2 children. Took forever to be seated and when we opened our... menus my boyfriend's had food on just about every page and a straw wrapper stuck inside the last page. When we made the waitressaware of it she left from our table. When she came back by she didn't have a new menu in her hand and she walked past us to thenext table. When she did come to our table she didn't bring a clean menu or take the dirty one. Just acted like nothing was saidabout it. Other than that I thought my food was excellent. I had the shrimp and chicken with mushrooms and green peppers andonions in this amazing cheese sauce cooked fajita style with tortillas and lettuce and guacamole to go on it. Great food & atmosphere! The service was a little slow to start, but they appeared to have been busy cleaning & getting ready... for the dinner rush(I came during happy hour). They had Corona Premier on tap & happy hour has 25oz draws(I think $2off originalprice?). The street tacos were some of the best we've had! And of course you get free chips & salsa! This is definitely a best kept secret. Always get seated right away and have had great service thus far after three visits. My... only complaint would be the burrito came out with veggies only on one end and all the meat at the other end so it was prettydisappointing but my husband had the Hawaiian Fajitas and was in love! Our first visit to El Toro Loco won?t be our last! We had the enchiladas lupita and the carnitas verdes burrito. Both were... fresh and delicious and flavorful. The chips and salsa were solid. Several options for beans are available. The refried andcharro were both great, and the rice was quite good as well. Cool ambiance and friendly service. Very clean as well. Surprising to find such wonderful Mexican food just down the street. The restaurant looks much smaller on the outside than it... is. We stopped by on Mother's Day (they gave moms a free dessert), and found the lunch prices very reasonable. Food was hot andtasty; service was fast and friendly. Loved the salsa and black beans! The food was fantastic! I had the Texas chimichanga and it was really good. However, even though it wasn't super busy, the... service was lacking. There were 4 of us. People who came in after us got their food and LEFT before our food came out. When itdid, only 2 got food. The other 2 had to wait another 5 minutes. It was obvious the late plates had been sitting for a whilebecause the food was tepid, definitely not hot. In fact, parts were actually cold.
