So grateful the fact they stay open until midnight and the food are readily available when we needed a late night snack ???? the... portion size is great, teriyaki chicken is tender and good flavor (not overly sweet), but the rice was too wet and moshy, maybebecause it's late night and leftover rice, but if you keep it warm in a good rice cooker it shouldn't get this wet. Also, theycharge more for having 2 different meat but it's the same portion size... It's better off buying 2 small plates if you want 2different meat than buying a larger plate for extra charge for the same portion. Read more
Simple, clean, well flavored food. There is something to be said for a great menu that is executed well. The focused menu... allows for a great product. The kilauea chicken was sweet with a great touch of heat - red chili flakes and oil. The macaronisalad was a great bite. Very quick service. Was in and out after ordering in only 5 minutes. Ordered the Kilauea chicken. It had a nice kick. Great for... those who love spicy food. The Mac salad is amazing. Great for someone who is in a rush or getting a lunch during their worklunch break. Will definitely come back. Read more
My first time eating here. It was so awesome!! I had the combo of huli huli chicken & luau pig. The chicken was unbelievable... tender And had the perfect amount of sauce. The luau was so just so tender and perfect amount of smoke or seasoning. What everthey are doing to the food. It's amazing!! I will be going back!! Read more
My first time for Hawaiian Bros.It did not disappoint. I arrived approximately 4:45 2/23. I was promptly greeted & asked if ever... been before. The gentleman (mgr?) jumped into action. (taller, built guy with longer but maintained beard) Walked me throughordering system & the menu. The bulk of the menu is chicken. They sort of build upon each other. There are a few other options(pulled pork, salad, Musubi) I ordered Molokai chicken which is basically the Huli Huli with a very slight hint of heat. Iordered the Classic (medium) size. Medium comes automatically with scoop of rice under the chicken & a side scoop plus scoop ofmacaroni salad. I ordered as is. Chicken was moist, tender & cooked properly. It had the right amount of sauce to coat all thechicken as well as the rice under it. They have extra sauces at the condiment counter. I am not sure what all the differentsauces where at the condiment stand but some are portioned in house & 2 that are pre-packaged. One of the prepackaged was apineapple bbq. I grabbed that for my side scoop of rice? The rice is standard sticky rice like you would get in Hawaii or withChinese food. The pineapple bbq sauce was good but I liked the Molokai sauce better. As for the macaroni salad - from what Iknow from people who have lived in Hawaii this mac salad is classic Hawaiian style. It was good but I prefer Midwest stylebetter. I would describe it as Mayo only base & some black pepper. Just my preference - Mac salad was good & did eat it. It isthe Hawaiian way and many will like it that way. I believe there may be a small charge to substitute & could either get morerice but that would be a ton of rice. A blend of season veggies (yeah not my thing at all) or fresh cut pineapple (that would bemy choice in the future) I also ordered Dole Whip for ?dessert?. Was a huge fan for a while, but lately not so much. Would describe the food as sometimes good other times just not inedible,... it's just inconsistent. If you come at a time when there are no other customers be careful! They'll just throw you a plate thatsat for a hour or two and I mean come on the rice was crusted over chicken was lukewarm to cold this is not okay. Read more
