I had a very enjoyable meal on my first visit to the Jack Stack barbecue. I liked the classy sort of swanky style of the decor.... The service was very prompt and helpful and friendly. The food arrived hot and everything was delicious, even better than myexpectations. I liked the cheesy corn side dish. The jalapeno cornbread and the onion rings are stupendous. The ribs were smokeyand delicious. I don't have any complaints but for a high caliber dining experience of this quality expect it to be pricey. $$$$ Next time I'm in Lexena/KC I'll definitely visit this place again. Read more

We tried this location. Our server Katie had 0 listening and observation skills. I asked for club soda, no lime or lemon. It... came with lime. She watched me take the lime out and brought my refill with another lime… I feel they only want to turntables. The atmosphere is very rushed. It’s also very loud at this location. They bring your appetizer, you take a couplebites and your entrée is on the table, 2 minutes later you are presented with your bill with the comment “no rush”. Really? I saw this throughout the restaurant at other tables. As for the food, small portions for the price. Flavor, just ok. Iused to love Jack Stack not so much anymore. If you need to get in and out and want ok food, this is your place. KC is full ofmuch better BBQ restaurants. Read more
A wide variety of food and it's all done fairly well. Worth coming out of the way for the sausage and burnt ends stew. The... good: burnt ends stew was amazing and I'm not a ribs person. Sausage was really the star of the show among the meats I tried.Kansas BBQ sauce is one of my favorite types and they do it very well here. Service is over the top good. Does NOT appear to beunderstaffed unlike many other places. The meh: brisket was not as good as I was hoping. The bad: the crowd is like a tidalwave. I ordered the stuffed potato with turkey. It was decent. The taste was as expected. My rating is more for the staff. They were... patient, kind, knowledgeable of the menu options, and efficient. Some of the members in our party (30) weren't understanding norpolite. Thank God the restaurant staff were professional. I was so embarrassed that I tripled my tip. Read more
Love the new Rock Star location for the Jack Stack Barbecue in Lenexa! Prime location at the 435 Fwy and 87th Street/Renner... Street off-ramp in the upscale City Center Complex! Complete with outdoor fire pits and patio seating! Music was Disco qualityinside the interior dining room! Plus the food and presentation was awesome!! Cindy was our server and was very attentive to ourtable. This will be new favorite Jack Stack location because of the outdoor seating, lively music and the overall good vibes andambiance! Read more
Classic Jack Stack. Solid across the board. Deli style sliced brisket and sausage, great for sandwiches or eating with bare... hands. Sweet, fresh slaw, sliced potato salad gives a nice texture twist and the baked beans are still among the best anywhere.If you love salmon, don't pass up the appetizer. Ribs & wings have great flavor and fall apart if you're into that and thelittle bits of bark in the pulled pork add nice pops of flavor. Read more
Staff was very attentive and nice. For appetizers we had shrimp which was very tasty and mushrooms not so good, very bland. We... had the tour of KC to share. Ribs paired with any of the bbq choices flavored very well. Meat was so soft and just pulled offthe bone. Brisket was a bit cold and dry. Wings were also dry but flavor was good. Overall good lunch.
