Heard about Jude's on a local NPR station. The description of his cakes sounded delicious, so I ordered one for pick up. It is... an amazing cake! Try one! Read more

Fantastic rum cakes, the rum is flavorful but not overpowering and so moist. Husband picked some up one day and never shared, I... made him go back to pick some up just for me. Read more

First, their rum cake is bomb. It's just the right amount of rummy to add that flavor to the profile without making you feel... like you had a second drink you didn't order. It's also not shy of being decadent it goes down like a real treat. I cannotrecommend it enough. As for renting the room, it's omakase so chef's choice. That means your experience will be different frommine but, and forgiven me for I've only gone once so far, the sense I get is a focus on quality materials and not fancytechniques. The head chef will provide beautiful local foods, vetted and artisanal imports, or secret recipes their familyguards! I can't promise it'll be breathtakingly presented or even something you couldn't see yourself making at home, but I canpromise it'll be a filling meal, one with care put into every ingredient, and in a homey atmosphere that'll make conversation acinch. It's a special experience I'd recommend to anyone once, and from there it's up to you to find out if you and the chefsmesh in preferences or if the company and knowledge you gain just from being their is worth the price of admission. But forsure buy some rum cake. You'd be a fool to skip it. And I didn't mention their house made rum itself, which I believe isavailable to buy. If you like a slow fire in your gut it's called something like Trademark Pending. Read more

Was recently treated to a rum cake from a great friend who raved on and on of how delicious they are. Well she wasn?t wrong. ... The packaging ensures nothing gets crushed and sealed tight to prevent any drying out. Impressive. Then we sliced a piece tohave with coffee and the minute that rum cake hits the palette it?s an explosion of smooth, silky island rum. So soft in themouth and with the addition of the pecans the texture holds firm on the lips. This is delicious and executed precisely how anisland grandma would be doing it for generations. It?s almost like old comes together with new and they created a work of artfor the the palette. Yes, my friend was right - best rum cake hands down. Read more
