The restaurant was nice and clean. No one was at the front to seat us or welcome us. Waited over 5 minutes to be greeted. Then... was seated. Waited a bit. Waitress was very nice just spread to thin. Got drinks and bread. Then the wait began..... food wasnot that great. Fries where warm at best. Smallest sweet potato I have ever had. Lunch there took over 2hrs. We have never beento a Fatz, was really looking forward to trying them. Food was not that good and the time it took was crazy. Only half thetables where taken..... Read more
Things have definitely changed recently, we have always loved Fatz but didn?t always have a great experience. Went and had great... food and great service! The manager, Heidi was super personable and still had time to stop in and check on us while runningaround busy the whole time. We will definitely be back. Read more
First of all, we had the best waiter we have ever had. His name is Brian. He is very friendly, kind and really cares about... pleasing his customers. The food is great, I especially love the green beans and my husband loves the fish. We have always gotseated right away also. Read more
My husband and I eat at Fatz in Lenoir at least 3 -4 different times a month. It?s one of our favorite restaurants to eat at in... Lenoir. The food is always great and the service is too. We always ask for Amy who works in the bar area, she always goes aboveand beyond for each of her customers. She is a true asset to Fatz! She always makes sure your service is excellent and yourfood is fresh hot and made exactly how they ordered it which is great when you?re husband is an extremely picker eater! Read more
I have enjoyed Calabash Chicken and Calabash Fish at this restaurant for many years. My last two visits were very... disappointing. I know restaurants have reduced portion sizes in an effort to keep prices down. However the fish fillets were athird of what they used to be and very heavily breaded. On the second visit the very meaty strips have been reduced to heavilybreaded popcorn chicken. This was a business lunch around 12:30 PM on a Tuesday and no one was there. I understand why now. My experience was NOT good at all. Ordered the meatball appetizer and it came out hard and dry, even with the sauce on it (sauce... tasted fine). I couldn't even get my fork though the meatballs, and the second round that came out after I asked to have themreplaced was still hard (not quite as bad as the previous ones, but definitely not good). Then I ordered a 6oz. Sirloin cookedmedium with grits. Well, the first thing that I noticed was that THERE WAS A HAIR in my grits. So, of course, I sent that back.Then, I notice that my steak is seriously overcooked. I wasn't medium, and it wasn't even well done. It was crispy and tastedlike the underside of a grill. I had to dip it in ketchup just to eat it. The manager comped some of my bill, so the pricewasn't really bad (except that I didn't really get to eat my dinner). The waitress (whom I believe was the front-end manager)was VERY NICE and I cannot fault her for her customer service or trying to make things right. It seems that they are having aseriously hard time finding people to fill positions at this location. Even with the fact that they are low staffed, and thatthe food would probably be better if they were fully staffed I will never return to this location and most likely will never goto another Fatz Cafe again. If I could I would give this restaurant a zero star but that is not an option. Read more
Ok, they were not busy. We still had to wait 13 minutes to be seated. We were advised the manager did not want the staff over... whelmed. Once seated the booths were unkempt. There were no salt and pepper shakers at our table.Our server did not keep uswaiting. She came right over. She took our order no problem. Only one mistake when our food came out but no big deal. It wasdifficult to get napkins and drink refills, but she did her best.. We ordered wings and salad. The wings were cooked properlybut the flavor was nothing to write home about. The salad we ordered, the Chef salad was on point. All in all a mediocre meal atbest. Probably will not go back. Read more
Service was great. There was some confusion about about my order. And I?m waiting to see if my money is returned like the... server, Brian, said. Otherwise, I?ll be charged twice for a meal that, while hot, fresh, and fast, was not very good. Brian wasa great server though! Read more
