We catered for my sister's wedding and while everyone enjoyed the ceremony what they were really talking about was the... FOOD!!! We had brisket, grilled chicken, green beans, mac-n-chz, salad and rolls. (4+2)/2 = 3 I offer the above equation to explain that I have visited Perkz twice and had two different dining experiences. The... first time I had a burger and it was very bland. In addition, the fries were also cold and tasteless. Unless you count the tasteof old freezer. So why go back? Before I left, I asked if I could sample the bbq, and my server indulged me. I detected realpotential, so I returned a couple of weeks later and had a bbq plate. It was delicious! IT ACTUALLY HAD SMOKE! In addition, itwas tender and juicy. One of the better bbqs I?ve had. The baked beans were good, and the hushpuppies had an excellent flavor(but were undercooked). The cole slaw was average. Service was slow, but that is not always a bad thing. A 4 and a 2. That?s a3.
