The service we received on a week day was poor. We had to request bread three times at lunch. And the waitress kept... forgetting to bring it out. The food was very good- be prepared to wait a long time. Also - the paper towel machine in theladies room was broken and when reported the head server said ?oh, we know? and did not offer an alternative. A fancyrestaurant like Zinc could easier provide a roll of paper towels in the ladies room. Or how about fix the machine? This mightbe better for takeaway. Don?t pay extra for the service which is crummy. Read more
Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere, excellent food and, apart from an initial near disaster when we arrived, excellent service.... We hadn?t booked but the restaurant was highly recommended so we got there just after 5 pm hoping they would squeeze us in. After a very frosty reception from Miss Couldn?t Care Less, Dani saved the day and found us a table for x2 no problem. She waswarm, welcoming and friendly and our waiter Alex and the delicious food more than compensated; our lemon chicken and tastywholesome vegetables were cooked to perfection and the sweetcorn was the best ever. Lucky to get in here for a dinner. Food and wines are supper. Service was also very good. No outdoor seating but they had all... the windows open so that?s helpful. We ordered fish this time and they are very fresh. Make sure you tell them not to over cookthe fish. I requested my salmon not to be over cooked and it?s borderline almost done too hard / overcooked. But overall we hada great time and would love to come back if we are in Tanglewood area again. Read more
Bistro Zinc is a very nice, slightly up-scale French restaurant where wife and I enjoy having lunch when in the Berkshires. ... Food is exceptional, and service is great. Expect to pay a bit more for the quality. Very nice on a Spring or Fall day whenthey have the windows open for fresh air. Read more
We just left here. Our waiter was Frank and he was amazing! Very sociable and felt like we?ve known him for a long time. The... food was amazing. The only thing I didn?t like about this place was how close the tables were. Thankfully it wasn?t crowded.Other than that, I will definitely be going back. This was our meal and it was on point. Cooked perfectly and melted in ourmouths. Frank was helpful with teaching me about wines as well. He personally wrote his favorite down, to have me try at somepoint. (I?m not knowledgeable on wines. I didn?t feel uncomfortable when speaking to him about it either.) I can?t say enoughgood things. Great job and thank you Frank for helping us. Read more
The place was booked but we managed to get a table at 5pm . The earliest I?ve ever made a dinner reservation for. Excellent meal... from the onion soup, Pork chop and steak frites (cooked to perfection) to the Profiteroles. Love the place And the service wasvery good. Definitely going back. Lenox is one of my favorite New England towns. Read more

For a last minute change of plans at lunch, the range of textures and temperatures in a sandwich convinced me this is a place... with real technical abilities. Very professional service and I would give it a sixth star if I had the time to have chosen amore extensive meal. Read more
