Went for Valentines day with no reservation. Got seated relatively quickly. Service was great. Food came out quick and... delicious. Went back again 2 days later for lunch. Lunch prices are hard to beat. The Sashimi is cut extra thick, so youdefinitely get your money?s worth. Read more
Yamato is a good choice that's been in business quite awhile and seems to have a steady flow of customers (which is important... when fresh ingredients are necessary, e.g. with sushi). Our most recent visit was on a Tuesday night. The dining room wasabout 75% full and there was a constant stream of takeout orders coming in for pickup. The staff was friendly and helpful andthe food was done relatively quickly given how busy they were. The sushi is a solid B+ in my opinion. There aren't any Aoptions nearby so we go here for a quick night out with the kids. My biggest qualm is when a sushi place uses really smallchopped up pieces in a spicy tuna roll and it's mushy. This is not my preferred presentation of this dish. That's how they doit here which is why it's not 5 stars for me. But overall I really enjoy this place. We do not get hibachi here, just sushi. I?ve been going here with my family since I was a child.Tonight I wanted to order something nice for my boyfriend and I, though... I was surprised by the pure soupy liquid in the container for my hibachi chicken. The steak was medium rare not well for hissteak and chicken hibachi. Both of our portions of fried rice were tasteless, good quality rice but not treated well. The snowmountain roll fish tasted..close to expiration. Not worth the price and will not be ordering here again. Read more
