Hi, I've been in Saint Mary's County Maryland since 1981. There are many places to get great seafood at a good price. In my... opinion, Happy Seafood House is THE BEST place in the Tri-county area. When I go out to eat I can't bring myself to go anywhereelse. The quality of the food, the drinks, the wait staff and the cleaning crew who clean up after we make a mess (it isseafood), is what every business should be. Our waitress was great. The shrimp and snow crab boils with mild Cajun spice was delicious! My husband and son enjoyed the... white fish basket and chicken tender basket. I was torn between giving a three or four star review, my reasons follow. First off we ordered fried shrimp, fried calamari, a... snow crab and shrimp boil and hush puppies. The shrimp and calamari were obviously re-heated from frozen not freshly made andfried...they weren't bad but there is a huge difference between the two. The crab boil was pretty good and as expected but isn'treally great for the price and because it's all boiled in a bag its hard to tell if it was all fresh or frozen. I really want togive a three for serving re-heated frozen food but since everything was decent and edible I'll give a four. Overall this placecould have blown us away with all fresh food but what we were served wasn't up to the prices charged and would probably keep mefrom going back, there are simply too many places to get good, fresh seafood in Southern Maryland. Let me just say Happy Seafood House never disappoint me I always order the seafood platter with just crab legs, potatoes and... corn with the mild buttery garlic sauce so good. And let me not forget Happy Seafood House always running a special I recommendif you are in the St Mary’s County area looking for a nice family oriented seafood restaurant it’s definitely a must try.
