Love this place. I have been coming here for over 30 yrs. Unfortunately now I am GF because of Celiac disease. I also live three... hours away. When I come down to doctors appointment each month I stop and get sandwiches for my in-laws. Hoagie express shouldbe a franchise showing the rest of the state and country how to make a Philly cheese steak. I have traveled all over the countryand never met a place that advertised "Philly cheese steak" and actually made one correctly. Other than belly busters in SouthPhilly, you'll not find a sandwich as thick and prepared as good! Occasionally you can even get Coropolese tomato pies here.Only thing I would change is adding a good gf roll from Arosso touch of Italy or a pretzel roll from schar. Read more
Got a roman empire cheesesteak with garlic bread roll. They really deliver with the portion size. You get your money's worth... here. My sandwich was loaded. The other reviews are right the sandwiches are hard to pick up. The steak quality is ok but youget soo much that it's hard to complain. The roll was falling apart. The toppings were also decent. When I finished thesandwich there were enough fillings that fell out to require a fork to finish it. Felt like there could be more cheese butoverall I was really happy with the quality and quantity of this sandwich. The fries were ok. One order feels like just enoughto serve two people. I'd order more if you're hungry. Tons of sandwich variations to try. Probably one of the best spots for asteak sandwich around Levittown. Got a chicken Parm melt from here on a different visit and I think you're better off going forsome kind of chicken cheesesteak or normal cheesesteak. This was only half the sandwich but it was delicious. I had the lunch special with a Philly cheesesteak with wiz, onions and... peppers, fries well done and a soda. The fries are cooked perfectly and the sandwich was delicious. Next time I will be tryingthe fried cheesesteak since I?ve heard nothing but good things about it. **UPDATE: I ordered from them again, but this time theperson taking the order over the phone was extremely rude. When the sandwich came it was not cut in half, there was no ketchupin the bag, and the fries, which were supposed to be well done were extremely soggy. When I called them about the order, theowner said you need to ask for the sandwich to be cut in half and you need to ask for ketchup packets. Hoagie Express Levittown PA. I went for the deep fried cheese steak and stayed for the Roman Empire cheesesteak on garlic bread... roll. Holy mackerel! I just looked at my receipt, $8. $8, no wonder the Roman Empire collapsed you can't sustain an Empire on$8. I really liked this Cheesesteak, I love it now. What I didn?t like, It was hard to pick up. I'm still thinking about theroll. There was a lot of homemade marinara and juice coming off of this Cheesesteak so I don't know if any roll could have heldit together. I wouldn't pay the $1 for the garlic bread roll for the Roman Empire because it has a lot of flavor. I think thedollar would be well spent on a more simple cheese steak. They are great people and there food always hits the spot. Never disappointed with there food or there hospitality..
