We go here often and it's always a delicious experience. Their current beef Wellington special is incredible.

We were sat around 7:30. This used to be our favorite spot. At 7:45 when we hadn?t been acknowledged by anyone my daughter... went to ask if we could be waited on. 5 minutes later a server came over and took our order. At 8:30 our food arrived. At notime were we asked if our food was good etc. I asked to speak to a manager to express my disappointment with service and timeit took for food to arrive. He gave a lame and not heartfelt apology and said they were doing the best they could. All of thesurrounding tables were waiting for food as well. Very dissatisfied. Read more

We have been going to Newportville inn for years. I always ordered the meatball entree which I loved. The past few times I... ordered the smaller platter and substituted sauerkraut for spatzel. The meatballs have been getting smaller and smaller. Tonitewas the smallest I ever had. They lacked flavor...very disappointed Read more

My wife and I had the beef stroganoff and schnitzel and both were excellent. Huge portions and great taste. We sat on the porch,... which was nice, but we'll try sitting outside next visit. We don't drink beer, but they displayed a very large and diverseselection. Read more

Post Covid-19 update, all is well here they are open inside and out. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and warm environment and... prices seem reasonable. We started with tasty Perogies, delicious Crab Cakes, a fantastic Schnitzel A La Holstein, along withGerman potato salad and other offerings, ending with a tasty Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. Enjoying a great Belgian White 1664Kronenbourg Blanc beer. Good place to eat indoors or outdoors, we chose outside and we're treated to a beautiful evening. Somegreat beers, with good tasting German foods, great waitresses kept us happy the entire evening. You'll enjoy yourself here, wedid. Read more

I really struggled with this review. It?s so 3.5 stars I can hardly stand it. It?s one of those places that do many things... right but a couple wrong and difficult to translate for any one persons experience. Let me try to explain.. The snapper soup isprobably the best in a 50mi radius and it?s been consistently good for over 25 years. It?s the hearty version almost like astew and is served traditional with crackers and bottled sherry. Just delightful. The entrées are somewhat lesser. The Wienerschnitzel was just okay and my Schweinebraten was definitely overcooked. The side slaw was insanely good and the German mashwas also quite tasty. See where I?m going? The service was fine, the prices were fair, beer selection was good if you likeGerman beers and they have outside seating which I prefer. All pluses. The seating is not covered though so just be aware ifthe weather is questionable. I wanted to give it four stars but the entree issues made me go with three. Tough call but a fineplace for dinner for sure, especially if you want authentic German cuisine. Read more

Pretty great authentic german restaurant, considering there aren?t much around. The beer cheese pretzels were an amazing... starter, highly recommend! The entrees were substantial and packed with flavor. They give large sized beers which is veryaccurate given the huge ?mas? boot mugs offered in Germany. Will definitely be back! Read more
