I had the most wonderful experience at Raas! The service was fabulous, attentive and well informed. I loved being able to watch... our smiling chefs preparing the food. Each dish was prepared perfectly and had a depth of flavor I had not experienced prior tothis. Best Indian/pan Asian food I have ever tasted. Can’t wait to go back! Read more

Nothing but fantastic words for this stellar restaurant! Kudos to GG and Adil for not only putting together a successful... restaurant; but also creating a fine dining experience in a location which didn't have high end Indian food. The decor waselegant, modern, and simple. The perfect balance between minimalism and decorative. I truly loved the concept of the openkitchen - to see the flow of the chefs in the kitchen with a full fledged clay tandoor was amazing (you don't see that much inAmerica). On to the food - the Dal Lalla Musa might have been my favorite dish, followed by the Malai Kofta (GG made that forus off-menu). The Goan Salmon was unexpected and a different dish than on most Indian menus (in america). The Chili GarlicWater Chestnuts were TO DIE FOR. Listen, I mean every single dish we tried was fantastic, its really splitting hairs trying tosay which one I liked more, you basically can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The garlic naan - I could eat that plain.Thin, crispy, and packed with flavor and just mouthwatering. The drinks - spicy mango margarita - DELICIOUS, ask for it to bespicier. The Indian Winter was a surprise favorite, the drunken mango lassi - described perfectly by the name, but my favoritewas the Tandoori Nights! You can't go wrong here. You will love the service (Jessica was wonderful), you'll love the drinks, and you will love the food. I usually leave indian restaurants feeling ten pounds heavier because of all the oil and butter, butnot here. Chef really knows what he is doing. Every single aspect of this place is perfection - a piece of India inAmerica. If you like Indian food to any extent, you must visit Raas. Read more

Raas is a beautiful Indian restaurant located in a restored victorian house in downtown Lewes, Delaware. The ambiance is... excellent and there is a front porch that offers outside dining. Each of the inside tables has an outlet for charging phones, etc., which is convenient. Just my wife and I were dining at Raas on this evening. We started with drinks- she had a spicy mangomargarita, which was definitely spicy and I had a 1947 beer (wish they had more Indian beers). For an appetizer we had theCauliflower Manchurian- which were spcy fritters with a dipping sauce- delicious but don't order this dish if you can't handlehot. For dinner, I had the deconstructed Pork Vindaloo and my wife had the Lamb Shank roganjosh. Both dishes were wellpresented. The lamb shank is served upright in a small bucket of sauce, which makes it a little messy to get onto your plate-you pretty much have to grab it with your hands. I've been to Indian restaurants where you eat with your hands, but I don'tthink they intended this to be a hands-on experience. The roganjosh sauce itself was just OK. Slightly bland. The vindaloo wasalso bland. The pork was cooked perfectly but pork tenderloin is very bland on its own, and the deconstructed preparation meansthat the pork did not cook in the sauce and didn't absorb any flavor. The vindaloo sauce served on the side simply didn't makeup for the bland pork. I applaud their ingenuity but the flavor was simply lacking. Total for the three dishes, two drinks andan order of butter naan was $120 before tip. We will definitely go back to Raas but would not be getting either of those entreesagain. We will definitely get the Cauliflower Manchurian again. There are many vegan options on the menu, so we will visit againin summer when our vegan family and friends are in town Will update my review after trying some other entrees. Read more

Not your typical Indian restaurant. The menu is focused (not a hundred items) and there’s definitely some pan Asian items on... there. You should have your expectations set on cost: everything is expensive. Ask what the market price of that 3.5lbBranzino is so you don’t have sticker shock when the check comes. Hint, it’s more than a tomahawk. This restaurant is moreof an elevated, fine dining type of place and it’s priced accordingly. For example (beyond the $130 fish, which was amazingwith the garlic lemon coriander sauce) butter chicken is $32 and I wouldn’t say it was “special” vs something you wouldget for half the price at a typical restaurant. Rice to go? $6. Thai green curry with lamb which packs a punch $34. $20 for 3beef samosas which were on par with what you would normally get for $12-15 elsewhere. Daughter enjoyed her salmon curry ($36)and we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms ($16 for 3pcs, each of which were like a little mushroom macron with cheese in the middleof two mushroom) and bacon wrapped plantains($18 for 3). Garlic naan was delicious and we saw them make it in the tandoor ovenright in front of us. Deserts are all made in house. The mango ice cream ($12 for two scoops) was good We enjoyed to food, andour server David was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and very caring and helpful when our daughter had a nose bleed. Davidmakes what would be a 3 star rating due to cost/value a 4 star rating. Address the cost or wow me on a $32 butter chicken andthis is a 5 star shop. It’s good but just set price expectations. This is the most expensive place in lewes/rehoboth we’vebeen to and we’ve been almost everywhere. If you’re looking for typical Indian menu and prices, this is not going to be theplace for you. If you’re looking for elevated fine dining then stop in. Read more

All around fantastic experience. The building is so cozy and beautifully decorated and so clean. Our waiter (believe his name... was David from California) made great recommendations.. he is a truly classy guy who made our experience very special for us.The food was 10/5 stars and I think that’s all you need to know. Perfectly cooked, and out of this world taste. You can tellthere is care put into each dish. We shared our meals as we didn’t want leftovers and it was plenty. cannot wait to be in thearea again to visit this wonderful place once again Read more

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in recent memory. We went early to beat the crowd. David, our waiter, was... amazing he made us feel like family and the whole dining experience was better with him as our server. The place is a beautifulrestored Victorian home. I don't really know much about Indian food but everything tasted amazing. Fish was incredible. Highlyrecommend. Read more
