October 10, 2022 - Following Google directions, missed it , had to turn around . . . a typical small college town eating spot,... where the locals go for good food! It?s not fancy, but a humble Thai restaurant with plastic utensils & paper plates that offera reasonable selection of authentic Thai food at reasonable prices! We took a chance, and stopped for a quick Sunday meal. Asyou walk into a ?pizza slice?shaped building on the corner of College ( Bates College down the street) & Sabattus, folks ordertheir food at the front counter. The menu offers a few appetizers like spring rolls, chicken on skewers, dumplings, etc. There?sa couple of soup choices. Then rice & noodle selections, followed by a good selection of entrees. We met the owner & chef PatV. She worked 12 years in New York , honing her skills. My wife ordered crispy duck, which was excellent! I ordered the springrolls, which were vegetarian. . . I was hoping for spring rolls . . . veggies with shrimp, chicken, or pork style ? I alsoordered the chicken skewers with brown rice. Very good. Plus the little $5 bottles of wine. . . with a plastic cup. Hey it?sfine! The food wasn?t fancy, but good. My wife and I love thai just like the next guy, but the curry puffs, dumplings, and snapper are to die for honestly! The only... reason why I have to drop the score down to 4 is because of the drunken noodles. I do not know if it is a recipe from adifferent region that we are used to eating the dish based out of, but it just wasn?t hitting like the other dishes would expectit to be.
