Just visiting from Chicago and love grilled and smoked foods. Was excited to try some Texas BBQ, and was let down a couple of... times. But not here. Everything we had for dinner was fantastic. The sausage...the brisket..the chicken..the mac and cheese...the baked beans... the... rolls... the fire and ice pickles. Wonderful BBQ restaurant in a great location. High quality meats with great sides. Clean, spacious and a wonderful staff. Owner... is friendly and very engaging with all the customers. First, how can you pass a place called Fat Cow BBQ? Second this place proves you can find authentic barbecue in a strip... shopping center. The food was great but that's not what is special about this place, there's a lot of places that have greatfood. What is special is you can tell there's a love for barbecue, they love talking about it, they love sharing it withpeople, is the kind place where they're so proud of what they do their happiness is in the fact that they get to share it withyou. Make sure you try the jalapeno sausage and the red onion potato salad. Most importantly if you happen to be there on oneof those rare special days when they have cherry jubilee cookies, steady yourself, it may be one of the best cookies I've everhad in my life. Save some room in your belly, the chopped BBQ Brisket is going to taste marvelous, and tantalize your tastebuds with tender,... flavorfilled beef. The crew members are very polite, and the restaurant is clean and tiny. I ordered the Spicy Beans(home-cooked seasoning), and coleslaw (perfect sweetness) as sides which only complimented the meal. They have fresh cutcondiments (onions, pickles, etc) available, and refreshments on tap. Located just of the highway makes it a great, quick andworthwhile way to settle a big appetite. Read more
