Passed through and stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Got the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwich, with coleslaw, potato... salad, a lemon orange soda, and the chess bar. The pulled pork sandwich was absolutely incredible. The entire meal wasdelicious, but I could have eaten a pound of that pulled pork. This place is beyond unreal. As a person who refuses to frequent "BBQ" places outside of central Tejas, I must say that Blue... Door is the real deal. I have been here dozens of times, and it is consistently outstanding. The staff and owners are delightfulpeople. If you're going on a game day, get there early! Try the following items... 1. The brisket sandwich. Get it fatty orwet cut. Get it with coleslaw. Do NOT use any sauce. It doesn't need sauce since it's real brisket BBQ. 2. We ate here for the first time recently. The staff was super friendly and the BBQ was delicious. Their spicy sauce was awesome... as well. This is a tiny BBQ place with limited seating and lines out the door. We saw multiple to go orders being processedwhile we were there. They do have a limited menu. Unfortunately, none of their side items appealed to me but that is justpersonal preference. Would still highly recommend. Read more
I went out of my way to drive over 30 miles from Mount Sterling to Lexington to get food from the Blue Door Smokehouse. I have... heard that they have great food so I was excited for it. I was absolutely disappointed beyond anything that I can describe toyou. It was truly awful. I love BarbQue and this was not good at all. I had the pork plate with the Ranch beans and vinegarslaw. My girlfriend had the sandwich with greens and vinegar slaw. We were both disappointed and ended up throwing most of itaway. The bark on a good smoked pork is usually wonderful and my favorite part. This bark was crunchy and tasted awful. I don'tknow if it was a bad day or if they had a bad supply, but I will not find out. Read more
Absolutely amazing. First order of business when I get into Lexington is to go to Blue Door Smokehouse. Brisket is absolutely... amazing. I also like to get shredded chicken sometimes and the dry rub that they put on top is mouth wateringly good. Althoughthe topic of using BBQ sauce is contentious, Blue Door makes some amazing sauce. These guys really know service. I ordered my online while sitting in the parking lot. They came out to let me know I was welcome... to come inside since the signs outside read curbside and takeout only. My email received a receipt promptly. My food was handdelivered to the car with a smile and the text saying my order was ready came a minute later. THE MEATS WERE SO GOOD! They wereall so flavorful and tender. Well worth it. And it provided several meals with all the left overs. I ordered the greens andranch beans as my sides. Those also exceeded my expectations. I?m not local, but you best believe that when I am? The folks here deliver outstanding customer service. They deserve five stars on friendliness alone. The pulled pork is juicy and... is perfectly seasoned blend of smokiness and spicy. The potato salad and cole slaw were delicious. There is no indoor seatingat this establishment. But they do have two tables outside. They do a brisk business here. Read more
