I came here for the first time in about a year and the portions have gotten smaller while the prices have gone up. The flavor of... the food is still as good as ever. The parking situation is still very bad, but there is no fixing that. My meal in the picturewas about $14 after an 18% tip. Personally, I prefer Gumbo Yaya but you can't go wrong with either place. Some comparisonsbetween BnT and Gumbo Yaya: -Gumbo Yaya has much bigger portions and is cheaper. I can always expect to get almost 2 mealsworth of food for about $10. -BnT probably has the better overall flavors, but is more expensive. They even have a $2 upchargefor their gumbo and a $1 upcharge for getting a 1/2 and 1/2 plate. Read more

Not for vegetarians. Im sure this place is great if you eat meat. Definitely appreciate the vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian options... but other plates smelt better than what I got. I ordered Creole tofu, shrimp étouffée and black beans/caramelized corn. I?massuming this is just a cuisine that is meant to be cooked with meat or not much attention is paid to the veg options. Sadly didnot finish either plate tho. I don?t want to mess with the reviews of this local place but I wish I?d known before coming here. Read more

Our first time here and it was a very pleasant experience. My husband loves his gumbo and jambalaya and he just had to order... both and was very happy. Plenty of choices and variety, with full and half portion sizes, staff were friendly and as it was ourfirst time, helpful with recommendations. We will certainly be going back when in Lexington again. Read more

So much flavor! I finally stopped in and was not disappointed. I did a half and half of jambalaya and chicken piquant, and... both were so delicious. I ended up devouring everything. I need to go back and get me some gumbo next time. Read more

The atmosphere was great I love the vibe. I had the vegan black beans and rice. With the vegan jack fruit sandwich, I must say I... have never had it before it was interesting. I'll go back and try more Vegan options on the menu... Read more

My partner and I found this place on Google while on our way home from Lake Cumberland to Cincinnati. I will never ever regret... that decision - the food and experience were both amazing! The place is so cute and colorful and the environment is incrediblycozy. We tried Chicken Étouffée and Jambalaya and some some amazing hot sauces. Can?t wait to come back to try some moreentres and the bread pudding! Read more

Lite prices and heavy portions. Team is helpful and friendly. And the food is served quick. To my pleasant surprise, the young... man at the register let me know I could sample a dish. That is great to know for those future diners like myself who are tryingthis restaurant for the first time. Even though I had already ordered the Chicken Etouffée, which according to him is one oftheir most popular dishes, I still sampled the jambalaya. The flavor wasn't rich, but I preferred it over what Ihad. Disappointingly, I have an honest but soft critique, and that is, the Chicken etouffée was bland. Although this takeoffof the classic shrimp/crawfish Cajun dish was lacking strong flavor, I would gladly return to Bourbon n' Toulouse to trysomething else on the menu. All in all, I'd recommend giving this restaurant a try. Food is cheap. Portions are big. Servicewas friendly. Food is served quick. Dining room atmosphere is simple, colorful, and very casual.
