The service is good, we got seated right away the appetizer we got was sweet Spicy ribs, it was great. We ordered steak ( I... forgot the name of the dish) and the shrimps with grits. The steak was tender but not much flavor, the grits with the shrimpswas too salty to my liking, also I am not sure if the shrimp used for the grits was fresh shrimp or frozen shrimp since theshells was too soft like the ones that comes with frozen shrimp. Wow great food and good service made this a memorable meal. We loved Carson’s Restaurant week offers. I got the twin filets... entree and my husband the salmon Oscar. We then split the entrees to sample each. They were both delicious. We each also got aCaesar salad. I got the banana bread pudding and he the peanut butter pie. Both were extremely rich and wonderful. We agreedthat it was one of the best meals out in a long time. If you can get reservations for Restaurant week here you will be rewarded.If not all the choices are on the regular menu so you can still enjoy them just at slightly more than $39 special price. What can’t I say about this place? Our server Julia was amazing, and our group enjoyed the experience so much that we came... back two nights straight. The Sweet Spicy ribs were divine and the bourbon bread pudding was bananas. Oh yeah, the salmon andmedallions were 5 star. Hidden gem for sure! Read more
Recently had lunch at Carson’s. I’ll start by saying the restaurant design is very nice. The bar looks super cool. The staff... were friendly and our waitress, Christy, was very nice. We had burgers, which were good, and the fries had a great seasoning. Acool thing my lady noticed is that the water bottles are recycled liquor bottles. Overall, good experience, would return. Great atmosphere and very good food. I was most impressed by the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding. It was one of the best bread... pudding desserts that I have ever eaten!! I took off one star in my rating for the expense of the meals. (If cost doesn'tbother you, then ignore my review!) Perhaps that is unfair to the business and what they are trying to accomplish, but I'm notsure any 6 oz cut of salmon topped with small bits of crab and lobster, with mashed potatoes and asparagus, is worth $33!! Withthat being said, the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich that I selected for dinner was very good and I enjoyed the side of grits. Allvery delicious. Read more
Came across this great find when we were walking around from our Airbnb downtown. The appetizers were phenomenal and we ended up... having those instead of a big dinner. Sitting at the bar was fun because it is great atmosphere for conversation. The onlydownside is the parking lot has huge potholes so go super slow. Can’t wait to come back for some more smoked salmon! Read more
I went here for the first time with a friend a few months ago and was really impressed so my husband and I went for my Birthday... on Saturday. It was great. The service was absolutely exceptional. Our waiter was very attentive, and he placed items in thesystem so that our appetizers, salad, and entrees arrived at the perfect times. We both got steaks and they were cooked toperfection. The scallops on my steak were buttery and delicious. I got the Carson’s Whiskey Sour and the Woodford OldFashioned. They were both great but the whiskey sour was my favorite. We did have an issue with our ticket price not matchingthe cost listed on the QR menu. However, they did fix the ticket price to match with their listed menu price after we pointed itout. We checked the menu a few hours later and the cost had been updated so they were very responsive to correcting the menuwith the appropriate cost. Read more
