Very nice restaurant, food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is great. Came here for my fiancee's company dinner and... had a great experience. I had the Cajun Trout and it was amazing, really flavorful and a big portion too. All the other disheslooked delicious too, I've heard they had amazing desserts but unfortunately I was stuffed and could not have any. The decor isvery classy and the staff are very friendly and professional, our waitress made sure everyone and everything was taken care ofand came often to see if we needed anything else. My boyfriend made reservations for our 1 year anniversary. They were so thoughtful to leave a card at our table, and they even... gifted us a piece of carrot cake. My family and I have been enjoying going out to eat every other week. My older sister mentioned this place and I had never been... before. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter was very attentive and kept our glasses full. The food cameout hot and delicious. I don’t know how my Husband and I have never eaten here? We are foodies! I was really excited to visit for the first time. But I think my expectations were a little bit too high. I went thinking that... this was going to be first-rate steak experience but it lacked the flavor that gives great steak places the edge. I had theprime rib and while it was ok, it wasn't anything that made me say yum! The mashed potatoes lacked any flavor, and they tastedlike no butter, salt or cream/milk was used to give them that creamy taste. For the price, I have had much better. I’ve been here 3 times, and I’ve been impressed every time. The food is great and it’s more affordable than other steak... house in town. The waiting staff is knowledgeable, friendly and occasionally funny. Last Friday I has Gabriel as a server, hewas excellent. My wife got the steak kabobs and I got the steak and fries (I substituted smashed potatoes). The potatoes are amust here! I definitely recommend this place and will be back. We are from out of town and family recommended this place. J. Alexander's Restaurant did not disappoint! Everything we ordered... was delicious. I highly recommend the carrot cake.
