Reviews for Lockbox in Lexington, KY
An interesting hotel with unusual art. Good restaurant with unusual drinks, good food, and cotton candy!!!!
Great atmosphere. I’d you like art, you’ll like this place. Very limited menu. The food was good, not excellent, but good. I... like the one better in Louisville, Proof 21c. LBGTQ friendly and promotional. lots of artwork. Read more
We opted for steak frites- our steaks were perfect and the fries were the best I've had, seriously... The ambiance is perfect... for a date night but also can accommodate larger parties. Be sure to visit the free art gallery on the second floor. Read more
Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the drinks were some of the best cocktails we've had! We got a... variety of items to try and share, instead of an entree. We are so glad we did and loved everything we ate! Still thinking aboutthe items days later! Food: Snap Pea Salad, Hush Puppies, Louisiana Shrimp, Skillet Potatoes & Fries. Drinks: Temper Tantrum????????, Bees Knees Read more
Great service and meal. Love the artwork and food and beverages were great. A real highlight to our stay in Lexington.
Visiting the area and wanted GOOD food. Don’t miss this restaurant if you are in town for anything. Portions double plus what... u would have in Boston for same price! The baby squash appetizer… was my dessert! Great service - interesting and good vibedecor. Don’t miss it! And no, I didn’t know anyone here! So happy to find it. Thank you Lacey for your recommendations onthe dishes! And ah… the corn crusted oysters and sauce just perfect! Read more
We had a brunch on Saturday. It was a nice restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. There were a lot of cute penguins!
My husband and I dined here for our 1 year anniversary a few nights ago, and it was our first visit since the kitchen changed... hands and the interior underwent a renovation. While I’m sad that the weather art installation over the bar is gone (it wasSO unique), I do like the separation of the bar and dining spaces, it feels much more intimate somehow. It was Sunday night andtherefore not terribly busy, but the ambiance was super nice and we had the full attention of our server. I’d venture to saywe liked the apps (hushpuppies and lettuce wraps) better than our shared entree (quail) and side (mac and cheese), but everydish had vibrant flavors and great textures. He enjoyed dirty martinis while I treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco (hehelped a little), and we were too full for dessert. Afterward we strolled the art galleries (open 24 hours!) before headinghome to our sweet baby - a very successful parent’s night out! Read more
