I hate to be this person but I was extremely disappointed in my meal. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and while the eggplant... itself was fine, the sauce was very, very salty and I was given two forkfuls of spaghetti. I imagine this had to do with thefact that I ordered takeout. There is no way they would serve that to someone in the restaurant. It was so salty that I woke upseveral times throughout the night absolutely parched. I also ordered tiramisu and it barely had any espresso flavor at all andleft a greasy residue in my mouth. I'm hoping this was just a one off and that the in-restaurant experience would be better. Read more

We had a friendly server, Katherine. Drinks and warm rolls were great, and that is where the satisfaction ended. The atmosphere... is dated, with sloppy paint around dusty upholstery nails. There were just three salad dressing choices. The creamy Italian wasvery watery. Salads consisted of large pieces of iceberg lettuce and literally two little pieces of shredded carrots. Marinaraand meat sauces were flavorful and abundant, but way too salty. We love local restaurants and hope to see you improve and stay. Read more

Best: Service and Rolls Worst: Interior Decor (Very Dated), Entrées, Salad Dressing (Tangy not Creamy) & Selection of Drinks... (No Sweet Tea, Unsweet Only) Lasagna: 4/10 Shrimp Pasta Primavera: 2 /10 (Bland & Cold) Cost for 2: $50.00 Likelihood ofReturning: 0 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! ???? ** I did mention to server, she offered to reheat. The pasta was flavorless, equivalentto eating plain cooked cold noodles out of the box. The vegetables were soggy and shrimp was chewy. I knew reheating itwouldn't fix a flavorless, soggy dish. At that point, I had lost my appetite. I was ready to pay and leave. We live local andthis was our 2nd time in 15 years eating at this establishment and it was equally as disappointing as the 1st time. We arepeople who give places a second try, thinking it could have been an off night. We usually learn by the 2nd time and do notgo back for a 3rd.** Read more

The prefect place for an hour long authentic Italian dining experience. The flavor profiles were sophisticated; nothing was too... bland, too robust, or too acidic. The menu is slow to cook, but high on quality so expect a worthwhile wait for your food. Read more

The cannoli was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it! The atmosphere was a small family owned restaurant, where great food, friendly... service, and family are valued. We enjoyed the homemade bread, sauces, pasta, and dessert! Read more

Fat Man Reviews found its way to Paisano's Italian Restaurant & Lounge in Lexington, KY. Paisano's is an Italian restaurant... serving traditional pizza & red-sauce classics plus they offer a full bar. I started off with a cup of Minestrone soupcontaining green beans, corn, carrots, potatoes, celery, tomatoes and cabbage. It looked like the veggies came from a can. Thesoup was heavy on the Italian seasoning and had a slight bitter taste, possibly from red wine vinegar. It was different, notbad, just not my favorite. I tried the Paisano's Sampler, including chicken Parmesan, lasagna, Italian sausage, and spaghettiwith meatballs. I could tell that pretty much all of it had been made earlier and sat for a while. The Italian sausage wasexcellent. The casing snapped, and the flavors were great, I really enjoyed this. The chicken Parm was not bad. It was juicy, breaded and cooked well. It just tasted a little old. I could tell by the cheese on top of the lasagna it had been sitting andwhen cutting into it, the top layer of cheese came with it. The noodles were a bit over done, but the flavors weren't bad, andit was not dry. The meatball was a little burnt on the outside, but it was not dry just had been sitting for a while. Thespaghetti was ok. The red sauce was really, wonderful. It tastes authentic, homemade, with a little sweetness, light garlic andoregano flavors, and chunky. My fiancé tried the Baked Manicotti, large pasta noodles stuffed with ricotta cheese and toppedwith homemade sauce and mozzarella. The shells were overcooked and dry, the cheese was bland but fresh. The sauce again was thestar and delicious. Paisano's Italian Restaurant & Lounge offers a lot of different traditional Italian dishes ranging fromchicken to veal and veggie. They also serve several anti pasta appetizers, salads and desserts. They are a small place, so planahead. The service was okay, but the server was new. Paisano's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is not Fat Man Approved. Read more
