Came in the Day before Thanksgiving, was prepared for the long wait. However, I was in and out within 10 mins. It was definitely... organized and set up Great. As an avid hunter and outdoor/ farm guru, it was well within my means to have my own hog processed and enjoy the spoils of the... beast God has given us, but....the freezer is still bearing plenty of fresh beef so I said oh well and came here. As the yearshave passed the price of swine has increased dramaticly on the consumers end, a whole boneless spiral sliced 9lb ham was $108,ouch, and yes thats too much to pay but it was split 4 ways among my family. Is it worth it? Prob not, this is too much for apiece of meat. I guess you get what you pay for, but I wont pay this price again, I will give that money to other needingfamilies next year. Read more
Been buying honey baked hams for Thanksgiving for over 20 years. They've always been excellent, until this year. Had out of town... family in this weekend and had Thanksgiving dinner early. Picked up ham on Friday and prepared it Saturday for dinner. Theboneless ham was missing that brown sugar crust of deliciousness that we are accustomed to. Was missing any of the sweet yummytaste from the sugar. Not sure if that is added at the store or a factory but someone forgot it, or they cut back on it due torising costs. The ham tasted like lunch meat from the Kroger deli. Spent a lot of money on a sub par piece of meat. Read more
I wanted to place an online order since nobody would answer the phone directly and when I went to website, the online coupon... code for $5 off was removed from my cart because I was informed that it was outside of the 3/31/2021 pickup timeframe. Their service was very fast for it being December 23rd when I ordered it. There were only about 20 people in line. The Kentucky... State Police were pretty friendly to me. My wife and son were with me and that sort of confused them, because I guess there wereonly 2 people allowed at a time. My wife cannot hear very good and they kept asking her if she needed to place an order, I hadto tell them that she was with me and my son. When we got home, we noticed that the ham appeared to be slightly burnt on theoutside, which caused the glaze to taste charred. But the inside of it where the meat was tasted very good. The ham is a goodprice for the quality of the meat. I would definitely reccomend them and will be back next year. Thank you for your service tothe community by providing hams for the Holidays. HBH needs to cut back on the glaze. Turkey is way too sweet and tastes like ham.
