Loved our dinner at Jeff Ruby’s. John, our server, did an excellent job of greeting and explaining the specials and other menu... items. Service was top notch all night. The steak was perfect and sides (served family style) were generous portions. Thebourbon chocolate cake (to go) was the best I have ever had and enough for 3 people to share! This was our first time dining here, celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and we were not disappointed! Lobster tail, salmon,... and halibut were exceptional, and the level of service was fantastic! Upscale pricing and average dining. Phenomenal service, location and atmosphere. Food was lacking even before you consider the... price. Little flavor or drowned in sauce. Our meal was over $300 for two people with a couple adult beverages. Plenty of placesin Lex with better food. With the level of service I received I would expect my palate to be happier. I don't know what to say about this place! Wow! It's like a mansion house but also a restaurant and bar! It's so fancy and... they've got every type of food on their menus. They've also got so many kinds of wine, beer, liquor and whatever else there isto drink I'm sure they've got it! It's a few extra bucks to go here tho. They gave us a tour and a menu before they opened andthose prices were a lot more than I've ever seen, but I've never been anywhere like this! Read more

Beautiful venue. Very upscale prices, however there were people dining wearing jeans and hoodies. We went expecting a fine... dining experience which we did enjoy, but the fact that there's not a dress code enforced took away from the ambiance.Everything is A La Carte. And I do mean EVERYTHING. If you order the shrimp cocktail, it's $8 per shrimp. But the sides aredefinitely sharable. If we had known that, we wouldn't have ordered so much. I feel our waiter or his assistant could have toldus this, but then again maybe that's the point to get you to spend more money. Every once in awhile it's nice to treat yourself to something special. The dining experience at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse was... indeed something special. We were catered too the entire evening. The staff seems to anticipate all your needs before you ask. The food....ah the food. Simply incredible. We had the salmon and the porkchop and they were cooked perfectly. The sides areala cart so you get exactly what you want. It was a wonderful experience, albeit an expensive one for us, but well worth it. Read more
