I love this place. It has meaning beyond food to me. I deeply appreciate how every year for Veteran's Day they feed us for free.... When I moved back to Lexington in 2013 I started getting my brother and father together every Veteran's Day to have lunchtogether. Living/working in different parts of town made this a convenient location to meet. We've had so many great times. Ialways appreciate the care and thankfulness. I especially appreciate how they set out the table for the soldiers who couldn't bethere. This means even more to me since my brother passed away 5 years ago this week. The last Veteran's Day we had together wasat this location, and it was awesome. I'll always have those memories to draw me back. So for me this establishment has becomemore than just a place to eat. With that said, I have never been disappointed with the food I have received here. I'll be back,and will certainly recommend it to others. Read more
Went to have a nice dinner and it was quite disappointing. Staff seemed to be more interested in talking and laughing or... chatting on the cell phone. Took 30 minutes to get our order. My steak was tough and dry, fries were cold and server never evencame to ask if everything was okay with our orders.then we had to wait to get our check. Been in the restaurant business for decades. Our wings took forever It?s was busy, but our bartender/waitress Ava was so sweet... very upbeat and very attentive! Actually had a personality. Hopefully the kitchen gets faster. But definitely coming back forour server again. Great job! Read more
This location is absolutely horrid. Every time I've gone I've waited far too long to be noticed and seated. Food? Quality is not... at all worth the price. Today once finally seated, I had waited for someone to come and greet me, etc. Another customer came inafter me and was immediately greeted by a waitress who eagerly ran to get her drink and anything else she needed. Meanwhile Icontinued to sit, ignored. At the booth right next to said customer. All the while several servers AND a manager were huddledat a back booth completely unaware. Not the first time, but definitely the last. You've lost a regular customer today. If thislocation closes, it won't be a loss. Read more
Fairly consistent for an Applebee?s. Quick, friendly service and typical Applebee?s food. I really do like the crispy... cheese bites (cheese curds) which left little room for my entree. Went to the applebee?s at lexington and wasn?t that impressed. We went on 10-2-21. We got here at 8:10 and just left around 10.... Got seated waitress was really nice. My steak was supposed to be medium rare and was wayyyy more pink then in the photos. Sentit back and asked for medium well instead and looked like how it was in the pictures. There were tables on tables that hadn?tbeen bussed and there were tables that were still not cleaned when we had walked in and still weren?t cleaned when we walkedout. Manager sat around and talked at the bar and just fooled around. So did the busser. When we walked out we mentioned to thebusboy that his manager shouldn?t sit at the bar and should actually get up and help out or even ask people how there dinnerwas. And the busser said well i?m the busboy but i?m just not doing it. And then said his manager goes above and beyond. Ingeneral, Manager was slack and it shows on employees. Order chicken n scampi skillet like I did 2 days before and it was totally different and when I called about it the mgr wanted... to discuss who did it wrong, 2 days before or them. Either way I had to ask for a replacement cause he wasn't offering one. I amvery specific when I order and I tell on the phone before I start my order. When I picked it up it is the exact opposite ofwhat I ask for! The manager knew it too cause he took my replacement order and brought it to me! Needless to say one hit wonderagain and I'm out $15 after the upgrades needed to make it like it should come to start with upon see 5 tiny over cooked shrimpand a cold size chicken breast dried up as well since they didn't cook the sauce on it nor give enough that's extra to wet itafter charging me $1.50 for scampi sauce which is what makes it not the same old wore out food they had before o take over!Don't dish out what you can't handle!
