I?ve dined at some of the greatest restaurants in the world, and thankfully worked a few of them as well. However the meal I had... tonight at New Munsons impacted me more than any. Was I expecting a soup that was perfectly balanced, with each component cookedcorrectly and seasoned expertly? No. But somehow in this diner in an 819 person town thats exactly what I received. Was Iexpecting to be greeted by a joyous server, and a restaurant owner who was working just as hard as his team? No. But yet again Iwas surprised. Was I expecting to be asked what temp I wanted my burger? Heck no, and surprise surprise it was a perfectmedium. I will say though the moments that impacted me the most was hearing the owner telling a depressed guest ?that?s life, wetake the good and the bad and we make the best of it, we find happiness?, and when my server didn?t just check in on me, butjust knew how to make my diner better and better. It?s incredibly obvious to me this family knows what makes them happy andproud: feeding and taking care of their guests, and supporting each other. Love isn?t a common ingredient in food anymore. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Options for everyone- Greek, Italian, diner classics :) Highly recommended.
This place is a gem for the Catskills. The food is always hot and fresh and you can tell the amount of care that goes into it... all. The pancakes are always fluffy and not too sweet and the burgers are great. The staff makes this place though! Johnny andhis dad are the loveliest family! Every time we come here we are greeted like royalty and taken care of from start to finish.You can see the amount of care that goes in to this place. It?s easy to get to off the highway and a nice stop before WalnutMountain park. We love supporting small family run businesses and this one is one of the best! Read more
The food and service was excellent both times we went within a week. The prices for the amount of food you order is very... reasonable.The owner is very friendly and checks in on their customers while dining. I also like the added exterior dining area. Read more
Was a bit disappointed i ordered a Ruben pastrami and it literally had 4 slices of pastrami so sad. The turkey club was ok just... happy that it was Real turkey and not that fake deli but still a bit skimpy. The host was very nice and offered us complimentarypita with tiziki(unsure of spelling) which was good and he also offered us a glass of ????. Dessert was chocolate cake it wasgood ???? get it! We stopped on our way to Erie Pensilvania and were pleasantly surprised that we found this great diner! Delicious food for... dining in and take out. Definitely a great stop during a road-trip. Read more
