We have come here for years. Very authentic interior Mexican food. My husband is from El Paso and he says this is one of very... few places around here to get authentic Mexican (NOT Tex Mex). Their Mexican breakfast is maybe my favorite, my go to is themigas rancheras but I?ve tried everything and it?s all good. Someone wrote on here about tough pancakes. 9 years coming hereand not once, ever. They are so good we order one every time we come in for breakfast. The staff always remember us and ourdaughter and are so sweet. It is family owned and operated. Dinner/lunch is fantastic too. Mole is sooo good, again veryauthentic. BEWARE of added GRATUITY for parties of ?4 or more? according to them! They do not have a posted sign for this. I was charged... 18% on my check! Luckily I asked for my itemized receipt. Ran back and got the tip I had left on the table. My server didn?teven bring me the check she was up front hanging out with the other girls! Nor did she check on us after our meal. We didn?t getrefills nothing. She worked the bare minimum. I had to go up the register to ask for my check! I don?t have a problem with thetip it?s the fact It?s not posted so customers are aware! That?s shady business. Save your money and go to Lupe tortilla for$110. Food is not worth it. I will never again order food from this establishment. The cheese on the migas plate was already cold and the beans was this... liquid paste. I also ordered a barbacoa taco with no cilatro and onions. Guess what??? There was cilatro and onions on thetaco. The taste on the barbacoa was bland and one of the worse I have ever eaten. We have eaten here for years, and since Covid it had gone down a bit but tonight was wonderful. We asked the waitress if the... cook was new and she said the whole kitchen staff is. The service here was wonderful! Very friendly and made us feel right at home! The chips were served nice and warm and the salsa... had quite a. It if heat to it. I had the steak and eggs breakfast. And it was very satisfying. Eggs were correctly cooked toorder, beans were flavorful, and the flour tortillas come in a lovely little warmer to keep ?em nice and hot! I was in Liberty Hill and was hungry. Decided to try the Junction in Bertram as it showed to be open till 9. It was 6:15. I get... there and it was closed and hours were shortened to 2. Oh well, I head back into Liberty Hill and Pass Jarden Carona (probablyspelled wrong). The place was packed. Inhad eaten at their other locations and it was nothing special enough to fight the crowd.I had remembered passing another small Mexican food restaurant many times. I drove to it and there were 3 cars there. I go inand the waitress was on top of things. Very friendly too. I ordered and my food came out. Wow!! It was great.
