Fast food casual Mexican fare right of the main drag in Lihue. It was busy (always a good sign) but the 3 wait staff rocked it,... working like a real team. The alcoholic drinks were really good. Loved the Mahi Mahi tacos. All fish dishes are market price. I think it was around $18. Don't be tempted to order the tres leche.... you'll be disappointed by the gummy texture, blandtaste, small size and overpriced. Read more

We?re from Colorado and tacos are a staple in our diet, so we decided to stop by here and have a taste! OH MY GOD! They have... some amazing food! The best tacos I?ve had in a long time. Limited menu items (post covid) but you still have a good selection to choose from. We had the Beef Nachos, Grilled Shrimp... Quesadilla, and Garlic Shrimp Taco. All of these were more than enough for two ppl. Service was quick and good. Atmospherewas nice. Read more
Ok. It was ok. I got the green burrito. It?s was Honestly kind of weird. It has broccoli and green beans in it. I ate it all.... But I wouldn?t get it again for sure. The chips and salsa were kind of ordinary. And the cinnamon fries things were also weirdwith weird sauce. However I must say the employees working were absolutely undeniably outstanding. I think only three peoplewere working and all three were just incredible. So friendly. Working so fast and hard. And so helpful and never stopped. Theyall deserve a couple of raises. We were looking for a restaurant to dine in to get out of the heat. We saw Verde while driving and decided to stop in. We... had Chicken Quesadillas and the Chicken Burrito. Food is somewhat tasty and didn't feel like a typical mexican restaurant. Its more like a fusion to my opinion. I took a garlic... shrimp burrito. Tasted fine although the shrimp didn't taste garlicy. The vegetarian bowl looked quite green and interesting andit tasted well. We didn't take anything from the bar though. Read more
So Kauai apparently has excellent Mexican restaurants, and Verde has got to be in the top 5. Located in one of the more modern... commercial developments on Kauai, it feels like a place you?d find in a mainland shopping center, but the food is anything butrun of the mill. The Mahimahi Furikake Tacos were the best fish tacos I?ve had, from the furikake tortillas to thecilantro-furikake mahimahi with their signature aioli and unagi sauce. I wanted to try the ube horchata, but they said they ranout because it had been so hot that day. Will have to go back to try! Read more
