It was so busy! I got a small poutine and cold smoked meat to go it cost 30$. The line up to get in was crazy but I got my... poutine quickly. The people that I was with and ordered a smoked meat poutine had to wait an extra 45 minutes after I got minefor theirs. The environment was decent. The staff were visibly stressed. Read more
I would give it 5* but it's not that great when it comes to customer service. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long for... our order, but our friends had to wait almost 1hr while their order was ready at the counter. I visit and revisit this place and i am always satisfied with the food. On my last visit unfortunately I waited more than an... hour (around 1h10) for my take out and the spaghetti wasn't as full as usual, it was dryer (less sauce). I think there was somekind of bike meeting so I understand it can take more time. We usually order for 4-6 people even if we're only two because thefood is worth our travel time. Read more

It?s a family establishment so a big fan. Unusual menu with a bit of Eastern Jewish corned beef and latkes with French Canadian... slathering good ribs with real friendly family service. Pickle was good. Sides of just meat was a hot dog and a meat. Read more
I had read great reviews and finally visited Smoke Meat Pete for the first time. I found the staff to be friendly and inviting,... and the the dinery offered a cozy and pleasant environment. I had ordered a "jumbo" smoke meat sandwich, regular poutine and acanned Coke. I have to admit that I was surprised at the $38.00 dollar total! What was even more shocking was the size of theso-called jumbo smoke meat sandwich and especially the size of the regular poutine. The smoke meat sandwich was nowhere near ajumbo classification, was full of fatty cuts, and the bottom bread was soggy. To add insult to injury, the regular poutine wasoffered in a small sauce or soup bowl? Huh?!? I paid $10.00 dollars for a poutine that would not qualify as a $3.50 add-on atmost other places. Normally, I would give a restaurent a second chance, but I was just too disappointed to consider a returnvisist! I hope others have a more satisfactory dining experience. Read more
This place was recommended by few close friends and I finally tried it. The environment was unique the staff was friendly,... helpful and patient. Needless to say it was the best smoked meat in Montreal, recommended to drink the black cherry drink withit. yet better, it was the best pork ribs that I have ever tasted,keep in mind that I don't eat pork, but it was 100% worthit.
