1st off the service was amazing! We had an awesome lady taking care of us. I am a huge foodie! I wasn't expecting too much in a... small town like this, but it was actually pretty good. The best part were the appetizers, you could tell they were fresh and thecalamari is probably some of the best I've ever had including overseas. So having that appetizer had me really stoked for theentrée... Then it died. I had the sausage with the marinara and pasta. The sausage was dry, the pasta obviously was nothomemade... Which can be fine if everything else is on point... But it just wasn't. I make better marinara sauce at home withItalian tomatoes. I would definitely go back for appetizers though, no question! Would I go back and try another dish, it's agood possibility... But I wouldn't sit at the 2 seat table in the bar area against the wall that wobbles and has a huge tableright next to it where you can't even hear your partner talking. Read more
It was lovely! The atmosphere was calming, the food was amazing, and I will definitely be coming back. Our waitress was so nice... & polite, always there right when we needed her! The food was so nice & authentic with a lovely earthy taste, the bread theyhave is so mild but sweet with the butter on it. And everything came through pretty quickly too! Although a bus boy gave us water, we waited 10 mins for a waitress to take our order. When she did, we ordered the portabella... sticks (tasty, good amt & dip was yum) for an app. My son ordered the ravioli, it was undercooked. I got the lasagna. It didnot have ricotta. It was okay, not great. The sauce was a nice gravy. Our dinners came with house salads & we asked for ceasardressing, which was delicious. For dessert, he got the carrot cake, which he liked & I got the tiramisu, which I enjoyed. Read more
The owners of this restaurant has been an institution of Lima for for over 85 years. The food is always excellent, the service... is top-notch. Milano Café and prior to that, the Milano Club, has been a part of my history. They always use the bestingredients, incorporating the family recipes. If you are not from Allen County Ohio, you just couldn't understand. Read more
