Very nice and clean place, inside is nice with beautiful chairs and tables. Waitress was very nice! And the food came out... quickly. Margarita was very good, cheese was thick and creamy and the salsa has a nice kick too it. Very filling and good foodfor sure with a very fair price. Will be back for sure! Read more
Salsa was a teeny bit tomato-y for me. There were hardly any people inside at the time of our visit, so the service was... wonderful and the food came out fast and was hot. My chimicanga looked like it had been over cooked, but tasted amazing. Thetoppings were all fresh. Restaurant seemed very clean. Bathrooms are out dated since it's an old pizza hut building, but theyare clean and work. Worth a visit. My husband loved all his food. Read more
It is close to where I live, so decided to try one day. I go there regularly now. Love there lunch special call "Speedy... Gonzales" with an enchilada, taco, refried beans & rice. Also comes with a bag of chips & salsa...all for only $8.18. Food isgood, prices are very reasonable, & great service. Employees are friendly and efficient. Read more
We tried El Potro for the first time on Sunday, Aug 22 at about 6 pm. The dining room wasn't overly busy and there was one... server working the tables. We received chips and salsa upon arrival. The chips were crunchy and not oily at all and the salsawas a good medium range. I ordered the Trio Enchiladas and my husband ordered the El Nayarit (a shrimp and crab quesadilla and ashrimp and crab enchilada). My trio was chicken, beef, and cheese. All were delish, but the chicken was outstanding. Thechicken was flavored with a spicy kick and the queso on the top cooled it off perfectly. The El Nayarit was exploding withtasty shrimp. Both meals were excellent. The margarita of the day was a watermelon jalapeno, but we didn't try it. Justwanted to add that in so you know they have different flavors to explore. Our server was very helpful, pleasant, and prompt. He was constantly moving around the dining room but didn't give his customers the feel that he was overwhelmed. We felt it wasa great value for the price and the service was outstanding. This is our new go-to Mexican restaurant. You definitely need togive El Potro a try. Great, fast service! I was full after the free chips and salsa. My hubby said I was one of the best Chile Colorado he has ever... had! Carnitas were excellent as well. We asked for HOT sauce and they delivered! We will definitely be back. Read more
This is my favorite restaurant in Lincoln. We've been here multiple times and they are so attentive and sweet. Haven't had to... wait for a table yet. They bring your drinks and homemade chips and salsa right away. I order the carnitas-soft and tenderalways. On Mother's Day, they brought out a free dessert to every table! It is a very clean establishment. I love the atmosphereand the interior so much. Read more
