The place was nice and clean seemed to be short staffed as there were not a lot of customers, but the service was a little slow.... We had the salad bar and were very happy with the quality and quantity of the offering. Ricky was awesome! He was kind and attentive. He checked on us quite frequently and we appreciated that. I loved how he was able... to tell us some stuff he liked off the menu. Overall Ricky was such a great server and we loved all the small talk he had withus. Read more
I applaud the folks working for having a jovial Spirit but unfortunately we got up and just got our own food from the salad bar... without an order being taken after waiting and finally we just said you know just give us the bill. I ended up going to the barfor it. I get they're short staffed but there's got to be some way to work it out to attend everybody or raise the hourly wageuntil you get people at the door and stop making the customers who are paying the bills wait. Waited to be seated almost 15 minutes. Only 5 tables in entire restaurant. Upon entering there was no sign saying wait to be... seat or seat yourself. No sign at all. After waiting 10 minutes I asked the salad bar lady if I should seat myself or wait. She said someone will be with you. Waited another 5 minutes and asked her if I could be seated to which she rudely replied?someone will be with you?. The manager came out and apologized said she was doing dishes they were short on help.. seatedafter 15 minutes. Couple came in after and we?re seated almost immediately by bartender who also ignored me as I was waiting. My waiter was efficient and personable. Second time being at Ruby Tuesdays and second time leaving with a negative encounter/experience. In short, food is okay, service... friendly but slow, and witnessed sanitation issue. 1st Experience: Family and I went to eat an early dinner about 6 or somonths ago. As I was grabbing a plate for the salad bar, a staff member was restocking the items on the salad bar. Theyaccidently dropped the serving spoon for the food item onto floor. I then watched as they picked up the spoon, took a very quickglance around, and then put it back into the salad bar. I lost my appetite very quickly after that and did not feel comfortablegoing through. The second encounter (today): I met with my wife for a quick lunch. For a Friday around noon, it did not appearto be terribly busy as of yet and were seated very quickly. Unfortunately, that was the only thing that happened. After beingseated, we sat there for over 10 minutes but a server never came by. We were tucked away towards the back end so I do give theserver some benefit-of-the-doubt that they didn't see us at all, but we also didn't see them on the floor as we were sittingthere and waiting. If we had more time, we would have been willing to risk the slower service/response, but as we were on alimited time lunch we didn't want to take that chance. Other than the mishaps, the staff who did interact with us have beenfriendly and food/salad bar (minus sanitation concern) was good. But these two items have probably soured me from wanting toreturn again. Read more
Some of the most flavorful food I have ever had. Their menu seems smaller than other restaurants but they had unique items like... tilapia and shrimp together and it was only $15. I liked their unique selection of drinks as well. The relaxer came in a coolcup. My only suggestion is that they want you to tip 18% on the credit card machine or else you have to hit "other" and not manypeople hit other if the options are 18% like they want you to tip that much when the waitress is hardly around anyway. We paidover $70 for 2 people getting the cheapest drinks, no salad bar, and the dessert deal after the tip. Read more
I normally do not write reviews of chain restaurants, but I had such a good experience here I wanted to share it. I rarely eat... on this end of town as it is very much out of the way from my usual activities in Lincoln. When I do have the opportunity to eaton the north end of town, I almost always go to the nearby Cracker Barrel, as it is one of my favorite restaurants and the onlyone in town. On this occasion, however, my family was attending an event north of Lincoln and were in the area in the evening.Cracker Barrel does not serve alcohol, so I decided to give this restaurant a try since I knew they did.
