Slowest service I've ever had anywhere. Ever. Our waitress tried very hard. Lost most of thevening waiting for food. Was charged... for beer I never got. First and last time there. We got our food to go. Had to reheat when we got home. It still tasted ok. Read more
Food is good, service/wait staff not so much. I swear every single time I go, for the past 4-5 times there is always bad wait... service. Doesn't matter on the time of day, middle of the afternoon when it is dead or during the dinner rush, it ALWAYS takes15-20 minutes for contact asking for a drink. To make it worse, ordered beer and got the wrong beer (especially when it's a darkbeer and I get Bud Light...). Ordered sides with my sandwich, got the wrong sides. Whatever... Always funny that I attempt togive it another shot 5 times now. Not making that mistake again. Maybe when the wait staff can figure how to have propercustomer service and do their job I'll come back. But in the meantime just head down the street to The Garage or Pressbox forway better service + food. Read more
Tanners is o b e of my favorite places to go to eat chicken wings. The Blair wings are the best. The flavor is perfect, not too... spicy but spicy enough. The waiters/waitresses are always nice and cordial. I've always felt welcomed coming here and I'llalways come back. They just need to get Hennessey then I'll give 5 stars ????. Read more
You can say we've become regular here. The food is good at a decent price. Yes it is a bar-and-grill, but not the kind of place... you would be afraid to take your kids.. They have an excellent menu menu with lots of options. Read more
Got the mushroom burger with tots and it was really good! The bun was nicely toasted which is always appreciated. The tots were... perfectly crisp. Our service was prompt and quick too. Was more than enough where I shouldn't have finished the tots but Icouldn't help myself. Read more
We live near and have eaten here dozens of times. Food is consistently good, service is always good and quick. Lots of TVs to... watch sports too. The manager Cassey is the best! Read more
Tanners fails to be the sports place you hope it to be because it lacks identity. Been there many times and no two experiences... are alike. Nebraska is a sports town and if Tanner's wants to be considered a sports bar, stop playing music when NFL orCollege Football games are on. This is without exception! Some times when asking to have 'any' game sound on rather the musicI feel as though the staff cringes as if this is a difficult request to fulfill. In one instance we were told the managersoffice was locked and they had no access to the controls. Really!? Many people come to Tanners on Sundays because it has theNFL Package and people want to watch games they can't see otherwise. But unfortunately the TV management is lacking. We havewalked in at noon on a Sunday and see many of the TVs don't even have an NFL game on yet. This makes it difficult to pick atable. In addition, many times the same game is on two TVs right next to each other. I've also had cases where I've beenwatching a game since kickoff and the game goes into OT and then someone changes the channel. There is simply no semblance oforder. On one Sunday they changed 8 of the 22 TVs to Nebraska Volleyball halfway through the first batch of NFL games. Thisupset many of us who were invested in our game and then there was resistance from the staff to change some of the channelsback. While I realize it's difficult to be all things to all people, please come up with a system and stick to the script. Then people know what they are in for when going to Tanners and can make an informed decision. While Tanners is modern, clean,and has good food, it really misses the mark when it comes to being a sports bar. TV and sound management is everything and thefailure to nail this defeats the purpose of being a sports bar.
