The Mist was great!! My server was Tonanzin and she recommended yummy drinks, knew the menu & helped me decide on the best... food!! She even knew about town and things to do! It was a ?treat yo self day? for me haha. Their bar top is not like yourregular bar top! Super cool space and awesome views anywhere you sit. Thank you Tonanzin!! Feels like this restaurant can't quite decide what it wants to be - fancy name and signage and some decor upgrades make you... assume it's an upscale restaurant. But the old carpets and booths, paper menus, and off-brand ketchup bottles awkwardly placedon every table screams diner. Which don't get me wrong, I love diners, I really, really do! But if I dress up fancy for a poshnight out, a diner experience isn't what I'm looking for. Also, the staff - we were there an hour and a half before closing.Not early, but certainly not last minute. The host and several waiters congregated at a booth near the kitchen entrance andchatted while looking over the dining room, making us feel like we were very much on display and being watched. One busboy guywas doing all the cleaning, he was lovely. And I'll admit, the food was great, I was honestly very surprised. I'd eat thereagain, but would for sure go with the forethought I'm eating in a casual type diner. Read more
The fish was great! The chowder was good. The staff was awesome. We called ahead, they had our table set up for us, party of... six. The food was not pretentious, no sauce squiggle on the plate, and that is okay. What was provided was flavorful, thetextures were spot on and it was all served at correct temperatures. ?The best grilled cheese sandwich.? Healthy portions of fries. 10 year old loved the clam chowder. Blackened salmon with... linguine was delicious but, it is blackened which means it is very spicy so beware. The vegetables were cooked to perfection aldente. Brand new first night waitress Kira attempted to wait on us we put in our drink orders and (simples orders for iced tea just 3... of us) and our dinner order. We did have a few questions about the menu and she did not have any answers, I do understand it washer first night, but it is important to look over a menu and try and learn about it before starting to work somewhere and theirmenu is not very big. 45 minutes later we still had no iced to or some order chowder or salad which is not included with adinner and sold separate. We had to get up seek out another wait staff and request to speak to a manager. After some morewaiting a chief named Sean came out and spoke with us and covered for a manager. He was very kind, apologetic and retook ourorder from memory. He brought it out to us personally, our waitress continued to be MIA, there was a very very very hard workingman named Daniel working there who was busing tables, filling water, seating people, checking on us as our waitress was not. Theother wait staff Will pretty much had all the other tables and Daniel did an excellent job keeping everyone one as happy aspossible to try and keep the costumer service up. When we were done eating the waiting game began again. Waiting and waiting forour bill. Daniel and Will let Kira know multiple times we were waiting. There went probably another 45 minutes. She then finallybrings us our bill after never having check on us once during our meal even to ask how our food was or did we need another icedtea etc. Sean had actually at one point run out from the kitchen to see how we were doing. She brings the bill and just standsthere kind of staring at us not saying anything. I start to say something as at this point I feel that even though Sean wasgreat etc we should get a discount and she just walks away. We picked up take out. Ordering by phone was quick and easy. The food is so yummy! Coconut prawns are delicious. Omg the seafood... mac and cheese is so rich and creamy- it's wonderful! Fish and chips is great quality. Clam chowder is great too. We woulddefinitely recommend! Read more
Breakfast is served until 2 pm. I ordered the avocado toast and halibut bites. Both were very good. Halibut bites were perfectly... cooked. The avocado was blended with tomatoes and red onions with lots of onions - which I really enjoyed. The iced vanillacoffee was perfect blend of coffee and sweetness. Read more
