Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Such a homey-feeling, intimate spot where old-timers... and families alike frequent. Busy during their open times - inside and out on the patio, which I believe is weather-permitting.Don't let what seems as spacious parking lot fool you. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time if you're planning to beseated during peak lunch/dinner hours. Recent visit was on a Sunday night to catch the Chicago Bears game at the bar, where wegot lucky and grabbed seating. Their French Onion Soup Au Gratin is hard to beat - I would say Top 3 on my list. Fried Calamariwas perfectly crunchy and their Cocktail Sauce is homemade and a nice chunky. Did not get their Almond-crusted Walleye for oncebut will next visit! Read more

We always come here when friends are visiting. Beef ribs are the specialty and they are amazing! French onion soup is also... incredible. The Filet is PERFECT buttery, seasoned perfectly. Add the potato’s au gratin and it’s an amazing meal. Thisplace is heaven! And I haven’t said anything about the apple strudel which is an amazing end to a wonderful evening! Read more

Came for the Friday Fish Fry - it was okay. The actual fish was fresh, but lacked flavor and the crispy exterior was subpar.... Fries soggy and very salty. I would go back for the happy hour $9 old fashioned and cheese curds. Don’t sit at the end of thebar by the bathrooms. Terrible smell kept coming in waves… Read more

Very good burgers! You get the option to have it cooked your way (highly recommend medium rare for an extra juicy burger).... Brioche bun is very soft, and the option to add raw, grilled, or crispy onions is very complimentary. Side of a baked potato, you can't go wrong there. I just truly enjoyed this meal. $17.29 for the whole thing is pretty worth it. Read more

A throwback to a simpler time of having big dinners with family and/or friends, L. Woods continues to serve heaping helpings of... delectable deliciousness. My last second decision of whether to enjoy their skirt steak or baby back ribs had no wrong answer. Iwent with the ribs which were fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. My dinner companion relished each bite of her BBQ brisket andperfectly seasoned fries that gave my baked potato a run for its money in yum too. Making a reservation led to no waiting on thebusy Friday night, and a great server had us forgetting how full it was. Read more

We had a wonderful meal! The soup was awesome, the beef ribs were huge and the fish fry was good too. I wish the fish had a... little more flavor, but that’s my only complaint. I love the vibe of the place, you really feel like you’re in the northernwoods at a supper club. It was so cool. Service was great! And LEYE always has awesome rewards! Update: went again on1/7/22: As always, L. Woods is the best. The food is incredible and the vibe is so north woods chic, it makes me want to go toa cabin! Amber was our server and she was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She was so sweet and attentive!!!! I wassuper sad that they were out of au gratin potatoes but life goes on. They had a salted caramel bread pudding and it was amazing. My partner got the beef ribs and the portion is out of control!!!! The almond crusted walleye is my favorite dish. The stuffedmushrooms were also so good! Read more

A great BBQ restaurant that has a nice pine lodge/ log cabin exterior and a warm and inviting interior that is full with guests... every day of the week. This busy restaurant's walls are plastered with photos of notable guests, friends and families who havevisited this sprawling restaurant in Lincolnwood, IL. The menu features great homey bbq and American fare and even has Halaloptions for more traditional Muslims such as the brisket sandwich and the Creekstone beef ribs. Everything here is deliciousbut the 12 hour smoked brisket is a must try. It comes with corn bread, bbq beans and coleslaw. They also make really good friedcalamari, which Im always down to eat at any restaurant. The service here is great but a few mishaps at times due to how busyit gets and the atmosphere is lively. They do seat people very close to each other so if thats a concern for you, please beaware. *I started eating my food when i took these pictures Read more
