Pita Bowl is like the Greek version of Chipotle. Everything is put together how you want it, either in a bowl or a Gyro.... Ingredients are fresh and I usually start to feel full before I finish the bowl. I have been visiting pita bowl for months and usually am very satisfied, however I got take out on 8/9/22 and I feel as if none... of the evening crew has their food safety certificate. I ordered the steak and since it?s made to order, I waited as always- theman made it and put it in one of the metal tins after - the young man making my pita then scooped the steak and put on the pitahowever some of the steak fell off the spoon into the gyro and veggie sections. He then used his gloved hand to pick the steakup and place on my sandwich however not once thinking that perhaps he should use a utensil or that now the veggies had meat onthem and following guests may not be okay with those veggies?.. then down the line I watched another staff prepare a to go order(customer not yet in store), he placed feta on the salad bowl and then another staff corrected him that no feta added, hescooped the feta off with a gloved hand, wiped his hand on his pants in between and kept picking each piece of feta off thesalad, he then realized he couldn?t get every feta piece off and then piled cucumbers on top to cover the feta remnants andpackage the salad. Organized like Chipotle but for Greek food as others here said. Which honestly was a smart idea. All the meat and vegetables are... really good and I never had a bad experience. Staff are friendly so no problems there either. If your into trying new desertsgive the rice pudding a try! Read more
Pleasantly surprised. This is the chipotle model for Greek food. You know the drill, choose your base, choose a protein and pick... some toppings. Everything was fresh and flavorful, the veggies were crunchy, the meat wasn't dry, overall flavorful and fresh. Ididn't care for the pita sauce but the taziki was great. The portions were way bigger than I expected. I got a side of chips anddips and after eating that, I had half the bowl left over, perfect for lunch tomorrow. Will be making this a regular spot forwhen I'm too tired to cook. Oh, the pic was taken after a few bites. Read more
