I've been here a few times, but today I decided I'm better off ordering halah elsewhere.
Shah's Halal has THE best halal food. Their chicken is perfectly seasoned, the rice is so flavorful, and the white sauce...... YUUUM! I could eat this every day. It is absolutely addictive!!!! Their prices are absolutely reasonable and the portions havenever been disappointing. If you want more meat, order it for a couple of dollars more. The staff has always been gracious. Astaghfirullah. The quantity of meat in every dish we ordered was minimal. We've tried multiple "halal-cart" type meals on Long... Island and this was by far the smallest portion, including no seasoning in the rice and half the box full of salad. Thecheesesteak (pictured below) was so light and mostly bites of bread. Always love going to any Shah's for my chicken and rice. I usually go to the location in Hicksville, but me and a friend were... hungry after a long night shift. This location in particular is in a gas station, but don't be fooled. Everything was veryclean behind the counter and even though it was 11pm, the food was very fresh. Impressed. Read more
Was better when we first tried it in April. The last 2 times were not good. Chicken gyro had a bone in it and the second... disappointment was the meat seemed rubbery or cheap. Please improve back to your old standards! We liked it very much and wouldcome back again if the quality returned. The people working are very nice and polite but the last two trips turned us off. 3 stars because it's the only place in town and the rice is good,, but Unfortunately not what I expected after ordering here... "several times " still lacks the quality you get from the Shah's food carts!! The portions are so far undersized.... the chickenand rice has been off since day one! Great hala hala ! Have only had once as i never seem to be around here at lunching time... The food is 5 stars but i always like... to try a place more than once as well as more than one item. ????? heart rating... gas is not bad either! Read more
