This was a diner we have not been to but will be going again too. Lovely atmosphere. We tried the French toast and it was... divine. Made with thick Challah bread with a sweet maple honey butter. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It was sogood. And their coffee was outstanding. We will be going again. Read more

I was expecting at least good coffee. I would have liked warm milk. We were serve expired milk. My niece had burnt home fries.... And was given a cookie which I believe it was wrapped and when my daughter tool a bite she said it taste funny. I guess she wasexpecting how I looked, kind of fresh. There turkey bacon was not so good. One didn't get my waffled crispy as I requested whenI ordered. I used to go every weekend with my husband but once the pandemic start and everything close we stop. But was excitedto go back when my daughter ask to go. Just a bit disappointed. So it's ok. Read more

This is, without a doubt, the best diner that I've ever been to on Long Island. Every town has one, at least, but Southbay is... off the hook. Great meals and incredible milkshakes, which are made with hard ice cream and served in the steel cup they're madein. Service is always perfect and the place is kept very clean at all times. Just wish they were still open late :( Read more

An older relative told me to eat here after hearing that we had a hotel near here. I’m glad we came for breakfast. We were... warmly greeted by the family/owners (assumed) and a beautiful case of pastries. Our server was Edwin-professional friendlypersonal service. I had eggs Benedict, which is my go to on travel (or biscuit/gravy). I’ve had either in nearly every state. My eggs Benedict were near the best I’ve had. Maddie had the turkey omelette. They fill your plate with house potatoes thatwill satisfy an lumberjack. A very diverse crowd. Everyone seemed to enjoy the place and weren’t in a rush to leave. Our foodwas great. The manager was also attentive without being intrusive. Well run restaurant. Music being played was at the perfectlevel which is rare. Read more

The staff is super friendly, all of them. That's why they got the 3 stars otherwise 1 star diner all day. To be honest my food... was trash! By the time I drove 0.8 miles home yes, I live that close, my bun was soggy the food was cold. It must have sat inthe back. The chicken was processed I thought it was real chicken especially for $15. I wanted to give them another chance andorder a burger like you can't screw up a burger right? Then again, as bad as my sandwich was I will not give them a chance toruin my meal and waste my money ever again. I suggest not going there to eat. Then again you might like low quality food.
