Does this place even need to be reviewed any more? It's not your typical local watering hole, the food is tremendous, the staff... are all courteous and friendly. I've known about this place for probably 2 years now, I know how everyone goes there and how popular it is. The building wasn't... quite what I was expecting, but it wasn't bad! One of the best bar & grills I have EVER been to! Not only was the staff extremely accommodating but the food was incredible!!!... I?m from Raleigh NC and I was next door waiting for my truck to get loaded and got really hungry. Was having a bad day because... I?ve been in the dock for 6 hours. (Usually on takes an hour to load a truck) so I stopped by to get something to eat here andthe vibe and food cheered me up. Keep at it!!!! Been here twice in the last couple days. Service is great and food comes out fast! The grilled cheese sandwiches are the best!... If you?re looking for something reminiscent of your childhood with a grown up twist, this is the place for you!! And Tina is anamazing waitress! Our first visit here after years of talking about it. We live about 25m away and just have not made it a priority destination... until now. My wife and I try to do a Friday lunch date each week. Today we made it to Railroad Street. We have followed them onsocial for years so there were no surprises. Exactly as expected. A simple and authentic, weathered bar and grill atmosphere. Wevisited on a late Friday afternoon arriving at 4:45p. By the time we left, the parking lot was 95% full. Very 'local' crowd, alleasy going, mellow and enjoying the night. They built their menu around gourmet grilled cheese so I tried the Smoked BrisketGrilled Cheese with Coleslaw, Smoked Brisket, Smoked Gouda Cheese, and Spicy BBQ Sauce and it was excellent! My wife had aburger which she enjoyed as well. We started with the Railroad Sampler app. which included wings and breaded fried shrimp whichwere very good. Our server, Lauren, was terrific! Been here a couple times and it was little better. After taking a look at all of the good items on the menu i was excited to... give it another chance and have a good lunch with friends. This time the experience was so disappointing. The dining room wasso cold that everyone was eating with their coats on. They had no coffee, no tea and half of their beer brands were notavailable. My food was cold. My friend who had the Thanksgiving turkey special meal was not expecting lunch meat. Very poorexperience. I gave 1 star for the courteous staff and 1 star for the good beer I got.
