Awesome store and restaurant. Pricey for the amount of food we got. But was very good. The BBQ sauces were amazing. The store is... great. Lots of differently priced items, inexpensive to (insanely) expensive. Haha. Art etc. We ended up buying somejams/preserves and they were just fantastically tasty! It was a very steady type of busy. So be ready to wait. And you seat andget your food yourself. Read more

It?s a novelty concept for the area: vintage look and feel, decent menu, and a small bar. The highlight is the live music which... they have inside or outside. Given the location, it?s a nice treat for the area. Read more

Honestly I like to go for the live music and beer, and the BBQ is just an added benefit.

We often drive up here and like to eat lunch here because it is a beautiful drive, and the barbecue is excellent. Meat is... flavorful on its own without sauce. Great sides as well. A very casual place and you can feel the history. Lots of seatingoutside in shade. Seems to be open less during winter. Read more

Neat building / space but not really a BBQ restaurant. The atmosphere is great but I've never been to a self touted BBQ... restaurant that only had shredded pork and chicken. The food is pricey and it's pretty generic. It's totally self service andthat even includes returning your pint glasses to the bar. The only bright spot was the bartenders. They were pros. But the barlayout is pretty horrible and their is no service bar so you can't get a bev without reaching over another patron (while gettinguncomfortably close and begging for a disaster) while navigating boxes on the floor behind the bar stools. The wings didn'thave any smoke flavor and the rub was dull. The sliders were three Hawaiian rolls with a bit of meat and apple butter and thatamounted to 4$ each. Crazy. A BASKET OF FRIED OKRA WAS $8.99 "Sourdough" didn't much seem to be sourdough. There were Steamerpans on top of a light fixture presumably catching water from a roof leak. Overall, massive disappointment. Won't be back. Read more

A spectacular BBQ restaurant and general store that should be on everyone?s North Carolina BBQ bucket list! The pulled pork is... top notch and don?t miss the smoked chicken salad! All the sides were delicious including the house made Brunswick stew. Theyhave live music on weekends and you may even see a little Cloggin?! Highly recommend!! Read more
